The accommodation which is a self contained converted part of our main barn and known by the locals as The West Wing, has been sympathetically renovated using the original beams and stone work, ideal for couples looking for tranquil surroundings set in the heart of the countryside in the Loire Valley.

It is a 5mins drive to the village of Crevant with a bar / restaurant , grocery store, bakery and post office and 15 mins drive further is the town of La Chatre with everything needed to make the holiday perfect.

The gite comprises of spacious lounge with French doors to garden and stunning views over open countryside and all the comforts of home, stepping up to dining area (full length window also opening to garden) which leads onto dressing area with wardrobes and drawers and steps down again.into the bedroom with en suite shower, hand basin and toilet.

Kitchen with four ring gas hob, small oven, grill and microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and all other accessories.

A baby travel cot is available if required and the washing machine is usable in our house (a small charge per load to cover laundry products etc).

There is a multi-gym, exercise bike, sit-up machine and weights for the more energetic person and mountain bikes are available to use if your prefer to see the countryside and get some fresh air.No smoking in the accommodation but no problem outside.

There is a private garden for use by the guests with garden furniture and BBQ, enclosed by hedges and a small fence between our garden and the guest garden so our dogs are separated from yourselves although they can still look longingly through the fence for a little bit of affection.

Parking is in our drive behind wooden gates.

We are situated on a very quiet lane with just a few tractors passing and the odd herd of cows changing fields. There are 2 mountain bikes available for use by the guests and of course boules.

Hi, we are Bill and Pen. We are here to make you holiday just as you like it. You can ask for information at any time from your first enquiry to your departure. We will be at the gite to greet you when you arrive no matter what time and if you need rescuing we will try to help there too. Why can't I call Bill and Pen (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Bill and Pen (the owner) a message.

If Bill and Pen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
