A lovely detached holiday cottage 10 minutes drive from Pendine Beach and set in its own courtyard just a mile outside of the village of Laugharne in Carmarthenshire.

There is an enclosed courtyard garden which can be accessed via the front door or the French doors off the living area. The owners are happy for you to enjoy their large well maintained garden and the 5 acres of pasture land they own (subject to grazing animals).

There is off road parking for two cars.

Just 8 miles from Carmarthen, Laugharne is famous for it's association with Dylan Thomas-Welsh poet and writer. You can discover the magic of Laugharne with three of its famous attractions, all associated with the great Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas.

* The lovely two-mile Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk is the setting for one of his best loved works, Poem in October, in which he vividly describes a stroll around Laugharne on his 30th birthday.

* When Dylan and Caitlin arrived in Laugharne they dreamed of living in the Boathouse, set idyllically on the Taf Estuary. Dylan lived there with his family from 1949 to 1953. The Boathouse is now a museum, containing lots of memorabilia and much of the original furniture.

* There's not a pub in Laugharne that can't claim to have some Dylan Thomas connection. But it was in the airy bay window of Browns Hotel that he spent many happy lost afternoons, drinking his pint of Buckley's, writing, reading the papers, and bantering with his drinking companions. Now the hotel has been restored and reborn as a five-star boutique hotel and oozes a subtle 1940s/50s glamour.

There are also some interesting shops, restaurants and pubs as well as the magnificent Norman castle.

A little further down the coast you will find Pendine Sands with a 7 mile beach. Aberglasney Gardens, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Ffos Las racecourse are also all within easy driving distance.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
