From the owner

For more than 20 years the combination of the Great House and Exmoor has been the perfect house and perfect location for your house party.

The Great House is the ideal country house rental getaway, a people friendly house (children and adults), located in the beautiful South West on the Somerset/Devon borders and in the Exmoor National Park.

The Great House itself is a large, comfortable, cheerful and atmospheric house with loads of character and in a wonderful location on the edge of the village which makes it the perfect place to party with friends and family. The Great House is only 150 yards from the village centre with its church , post office and PUB!!

Ten Bedrooms , Seven Bathrooms, farmhouse kitchen, large lounge with open fireplace and woodburner, second lounge with baby grand, dinning room seats 22, Games room with table tennis, pool room, bar, outdoor chess; there is also plenty of car parking at the front of the house, walled child safe garden with ample space to relax and soak up (literally) that great British weather. There is also a large patio at the front of the house where you can quietly sit and sip champagne (sorry not supplied) and watch the sun go down over the village.
Conversly, if you feeling energetic you can always take a stroll around the seven acres of woods.

So whether it's an old fashioned beach holiday coupled with a bit of surfing, or an activity filled holiday with lots of new pursuits or just a relaxing holiday with time to take in the exceptional countryside and a few hostelries, the combination of Exmoor and the Great House will do it for you.
