From the owner

Planning a break in London? Going to get in some shows, shopping and restaurants? Then this apartment could be just the thing for you. Why settle for a hotel room when you can have your own pied a terre in lovely leafy Hampstead?

Located in a Grade II listed Edwardian house in historic Hampstead, this cosy hideaway has been stylishly updated with oak flooring throughout.

Top quality Neff and Fischer & Paykel appliances in the sleek, modern kitchen include a full size dishwasher, multifunction oven, ceramic hob and a large fridge and freezer. The laundry utility press in the hall houses a Bosch washing machine and separate dryer.

The spacious lounge has comfortable Natuzzi sofas and an oak dining table and chairs. The lighting options include both halogen ceiling lights and table lamps for a more relaxed ambience.

The large double sash window overlooks Frognal. The spire of historic St John's church on Church Row in the heart of Hampstead village is visible through the trees. The leafy outlook from the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom also ensures a peaceful atmosphere despite the convenient location with easy access to all the amenities of the village.

The flatscreen High Definition Television with satellite reception and the Blue Ray player will keep you entertained. There is fast wifi broadband.

A parking space in the courtyard at the rear of the house is an invaluable asset in this village location where parking facilities are scarce and expensive.

Close to excellent transport links which provide access to Bond Street shopping and West End theatres in ten minutes, while still retaining a village atmosphere, this is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent visiting the museums, galleries and historic sites of this wonderful city.

The quaint and charming village of Hampstead has excellent restaurants, tempting pavement cafes, well stocked delis and pubs full of character such as The Holly Bush and The White Bear.

Enjoy a stroll on Hampstead Heath followed by a visit to Kenwood House, designed by Robert Adam, and marvel at its opulent interior and artistic treasures which include paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer,Gainsborough and Turner.
Have a leisurely lunch in one of the many restaurants or linger over a latte in a village that seems a world removed from the bustle of the city which hums invitingly in the distance .
If you do succumb to the lure of the city then hop on the tube and within minutes you can be browsing in Covent Garden or sauntering through Mayfair.Have afternoon tea in Claridges and round off the evening with cocktails and jazz in Ronnie Scotts in Soho.

Alternatively have a wander around Fenton House and find a quiet corner in its magical walled garden and soak some rays or read a book.Admire the panoramic views of the iconic London skyline from the rooftop terrace overlooking Admiral's Walk. Visit the tranquil garden of Keats House in which he composed his evocative Ode to a Nightingale and immerse yourself in the world of this great Romantic poet.
Hampstead is the ideal setting in which to indulge your romantic fantasies and a perfect base from which to explore the delights of this cosmopolitan city with its palaces and its pageantry.

Long associated with writers, artists and intellectuals, Hampstead was home to Keats, Byron,Constable, Evelyn Waugh, Daphne Du Maurier, D.H. Lawrence, and Sigmund Freud. The Walking Tour of Hampstead which meanders through its lanes and side streets gives a revealing insight into the intriguing history of its beautiful Georgian buildings and famous former residents.
