CATERED SKI CHALET IN LA PLAGNE - PARADISKI

Up the winding mountain road to the church square and the village of Montorlin, and a beautiful 260 year old converted farmhouse owned and run by Liza and Andy as a catered ski chalet.

Alastair Sawday's Guides have featured this lovely place in The Guardian as one of 10 chalets to treat yourself to.

The stunning top floor features an open plan living and dining area, with amazing views to the distant peaks of Mont Blanc. Balconies open off 2 sides of the house from floor to ceiling windows. The airy living room has huge, squashy sofas, a log fire and an extensive library. Wifi, playstation, DVDs and CDs provide the modern entertainment.

Mountains, inc. is owner run, and dedicated to good service. Guests will be fed yummy breakfasts and afternoon teas daily, with excellent three course meals and unlimited wine 6 days a week. Tea time might include hot chocolates and mulled wine. Dinner time drinks include a house champagne cocktail, a local kir, the grolla, and genepi; and pre-dinner nibbles of some of the local specialities.

Children are always welcome, with early evening suppers and all the accoutrements of childhood from cots and high chairs to prams, sleds and even toys. And if you want to bring all three generations there is a discount for over 65s too.

Liza will pre-purchase your lift passes, arrange any ski lessons, and organise your ski hire for in chalet delivery and fitting. When you arrive, you have absolutely no queuing to do and we get you straight on to the slopes.

Our private minibus takes you the 3 minutes from the chalet door to the telecabine every morning - you decide what time! Call us from the slopes or a bar for a pick up and we'll be there to meet you.

We're open year round. In winter we offer catered ski holidays; in summer, B&B or catered. Contact us for summer availability.

The house has 6 bedrooms on the ground and first floors: three double rooms, two twins, and one family suite with two interconnecting bedrooms. The main room of the suite has a romantic four poster bed; the children's room next door has full length bunk beds. On the first floor one of the twin rooms has the traditional built in wooden curtained beds, which children (and adults!) adore.
Every room has a hairdryer, big fluffy towels and super-efficient radiators; and a jar of smarties by the bed.

Skiing holidays You can expect to be looked after by us before as well as during your holiday. Pre-arrival services include arranging ski lessons, ski hire and lift passes. In resort, Liza and Andy welcome you and cook and clean, and provide the shuttle service to the ski lifts. Bed and Breakfast Expect a warm welcome, and a great home cooked breakfast.
