From the owner

Taw cottage lies in a secluded country setting in the tiny hamlet of Taw Green. The cottage is a comfortable detached former barn, set within its own private garden with views of Dartmoor. The cottage has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard, offering ideal family accommodation for up to 4 people (plus 1 infant). There is off-street parking for 2 cars. We are located on the northern fringe of Dartmoor National Park which offers excellent walking and cycling opportunities. The Tarka cycling trail runs past the cottage and golf, riding and fishing are all available locally. There are a number of friendly local pubs in the nearby villages of Sticklepath and South Zeal approximately 1½ miles. The nearest main town is Okehampton which is approximately 5 miles away. Both north and south Devon coasts can be accessed within an hours drive with beaches such as Dawlish, Exmouth or Bude. Historic and NT sites to explore include the Museum of Dartmoor Life & Castle Drogo. (1 dog only charged at £3 per night or £20 per week).

Perfect property in a peaceful rural location. The cottage is very well equipped and family friendly. The garden and views are stunning. We will definitely be returning as often as possible.

Why can't I call Myles (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Myles (the owner) a message.

If Myles (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
