If you are looking for a "get away from it all" stress free break then you won't be disappointed! Come and enjoy the calm in our beautiful "uber chic" gite attached to our own home. Les Hortensias gite has everything you could need for short break or lengthy stay. It has been said by previous guests that our prices are particularly under priced for the accommodation and services offered, but we pride ourselves on offering an affordable solution for a well deserved getaway from the stresses of modern living. Come and try us out and see for yourselves.

We are situated in Vasles, a village on the edge of the Deux sevres and Vienne region of the Poitou Charentes. The village has a bakers, butchers, small convenience store and the local tradional French bar tabac brasserie which offers lovely food at reasonable prices. Throughout the year Le Zinc have theme weekends of food such as moules, tartiflette and fish and chips to name but a few and in the summer there are music concerts (classical and pop) in the village and surrounding areas.

There is also a small market in Vasles each Tuesday morning.

The area is predominantly farming countryside with lots of walks and safe roads for cycling.

Susan is a registered Reiki practitioner so if you feel the need for some relaxation therapy come and give it a try.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Susan (the owner) a message.

If Susan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
