Fermoyle Cottage is nestled in the heart of the Burren. Directly outside the back door is the Burren Way walking route. You are in Close proximity to the traditional Irish music of Doolin, and the matchmaking festival in Lisdoonvarna.

Fermoyle Cottage consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with plenty of room to fit 6 people.

This cottage is perfect for walkers or hikers with plenty of trails just outside the cottage. There is also surfing at the local beach and horse riding in close proximity.

There is the world famous Lahinch golf course only 25 minutes away.

The County Galway / County Clare / County Clare region

Fermoyle Cottage is located in the Caher Valley of Fanore. Outside the house is a river and behind the house is the burren way walking route. There is also a deserted village in the area.

County Clare is a beautiful part of Ireland and has plenty to offer, from attractive walks through the green countryside to relaxing whilst looking out at the sea or enjoying some local food.

The Fanore area

Fermoyle cottage has plenty of activities in the area. There is surfing at the local beach as well as horse riding, walking routes and cycling routes.

There are also the cliffs of Moher just down the road in Doolin as well as the Ailwee caves in Ballyvaughan and the Doolin cave. There is also a petting farm in the area.

“Fermoyle in the Burren” Very enjoyable week at Fermoyle Cottage, located directly in the remote Burren of Co. Clare. Outstanding accommodations, wildlife, walking trails. A wee bit of a narrow drive to the cottage (typical Ireland though) and precise GPS coordinates would be most helpful in locating...but we found this gem in the Burren after a bit of a tour. Wonderful week, would recommend this cottage to others looking for some peace and solitude in a beautiful slice of Heaven in Ireland.

“Week in Fanore” This cottage is a hidden gem. The rooms are large and have everything you need. It was great to tour around the countryside and come home to a warm cottage with a fire and a wonderful sitting room. The location is fantastic :you can travel to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher all in the same day! The local pub is full of friendly faces and the next town has the best seafood you have ever had. (Monks) This cottage is fantastic because the owners are close and extremly friendly and helpful. It is also beautiful to go for an early morning walk on one of the most beautiful beahes just at the end of the road. Please enjoy yourself as much as we did.

“Beautiful house in stunning location” My recent trip to Ireland was my first one and the experience is one I will never forget and will be talking about for years to come. I was so excited to be able to stay at Fermoyle Cottage and to experience the history of Ireland first hand. The amenities far exceeded my expectations. The washer and dryer came in handy with the limited luggage space on flights these days. We used Fermoyle Cottage as our HOME base and traveled each day to amazing scenes and adventures, returning in the evening to sitting and relaxing by our turf fire - like an Irish hug and welcome back. I can hardly explain how wonderful it all was. We got to enjoy Ireland at her best and the cottage played a significant role. I highly recommend this cottage.

“Fermoyle cottage provided the ultimate rural Ireland location and facilities” Our first trip to Ireland proved to be restful, enchanting, comfortable and convenient in location for exploring the Burren countryside. Fermoyle cottage is maintained with love and respect for all and any who stay there. The amenities of the cottage kept us comfortable for the two weeks of our stay. Travel to nearby area sites of interest was safe and easy. Walking the Burren trails was refreshing with all the flora and fauna to be seen right outside the cottage door.
