Fanore village is on coast road of north County Clare. To its front is Atlantic ocean. To its rear Burren National Park/Ailwee Cave/Leminagh Castle. South is Doolin village/Cliffs of Moher/Lahinch golf-beach. To its north-Ballyvaughan village/Galway city.
Fanore enjoys limestone landscape with mild climate in winter. The west of Ireland get a lot of drizzle so rain gear is recommended. Burren is famous for exotic flora formation and of great interest to botanists.
