About the home

The property is a spacious ground floor apartment, which has been carefully appointed to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The accommodation is modern with clean lines and of a contemporary style.

The Apartment is only a 5 minute walk to The National Maritime museum on Discovery Quay and a 15 minute walk to Gyllyngvase Beach and a little further along you will find Swanpool beach. Castle Beach is only 5 minutes away but is a little tide dependant. There is a Spar shop directly across the road to pick up your first day essentials and a Tesco on Discovery Quay.

The Falmouth Apartment is situated in a quiet area to enjoy a peaceful stay but close enough to all that Falmouth has to offer. There is a shared garden surrounding The Apartment and just outside the patio door s is an ideal sun trap to set up your garden furniture and BBQ.

Facilities

Further details indoors:
The lounge diner with flat screen TV and DVD has large reclining leather sofas, and patio doors opening out onto the quiet shared garden a perfect area for summer BBQ's and a chilled glass of wine. A contemporary glass dining table can seat up to 6 people again enjoying the views of the garden.

The double en-suite room facing the walled garden can accommodate a travel cot which is provided (baby bed linen not provided). This room is also equipped with a TV and large slide robes to pack away everything out of sight.

The integrated garage provides an ideal storage area for push charis, wet suits and all the beach gear!

Further details outdoors:
Just outside the Patio doors or alongside the walled garden is an ideal pitch for summer BBQ's. There is private allocated parking for one car.

Additional cars can park along Bar Lane which is situated behind The Apartment.

Conditions

A 25% deposit is required in 7 working days of booking to secure the dates. This deposit is non refundable. The outstanding balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made 8 weeks or less of the arrival date we will require payment in full within 7 working days of your enquiry.

A refundable security deposit of £350 is required 2 weeks prior to your arrival. This will of course be refunded if the apartment is left as found.

Please note holiday insurance is not included in your booking. For your peace of mind we recommend you take out appropriate cover for your holiday.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall has emerged as one of the world's iconic destinations. From the dramatic coastline of the north to the sheltered bays in the south, from ancient moorland to soft river estuaries, surfers, walkers, sailing buffs, gastronauts, couples and families come here to get away from a hectic world.

A holiday in Cornwall has it's very own charm, due to it geography it is isolated and herein lies the charm. Cornish rituals and traditions are still alive, however, there is a growing cosmopolitan feel to Cornwall.

There are many festivals up and down Cornwall and Falmouth itself is the Mecca for festivals.

The Falmouth area

The Falmouth Apartment is only 10 minutes stroll from the heart of Falmouth and only 15 minutes from the nearest beach. In recent years this historic fishing town nestled on the Cornish coast has become a popular destination for holidays and water orientated activities.

Falmouth not only offers the fun of the beach but the sophistication of the arts and all maritime interests. Surrounded by great bars and restaurants there is no need to slave over a hot stove (if you don’t want to!), remember you are only ever a short walk from home.

Pendennis Head is a good direction to head for a stroll and is only a short distance from The Apartment; here you will enjoy amazing panoramic views across the Fal Estuary. There are many pleasure boats and passenger ferries which will take you to Flushing village, Smugglers Cottage at Tolvern and St Mawes harbour to mention but a few.

On a wet day the National Maritime Museum on the quayside is well worth a visit and is only 5 minutes from the Apartment. Ships and Castles leisure centre by Pendennis Castle has an indoor pool for all the family to enjoy. Don’t forget the 70 metre flume rapid river ride! Ocean Bowl a 12 lane bowling alley is about a 2 minute walk form the Apartment.

Our passion for Falmouth and the surrounding areas is something we like to share with our guests. Upon booking a stay with us we would be delighted to share with you our recommendations from great breath-taking walks in the winter months to the best place to find a local pint in the heat of the summer. Whatever takes your fancy.

The Apartment is only a couple of minutes from the train station so you are never far from the cosmopolitan City of Truro and the main London line.

Falmouth is located on the South West coast of Cornwall 15 miles from Truro, the Capital of Cornwall.

From the A 30 take the exit for Truro then you will pick up signs for Falmouth. Once you reach Falmouth follow the signs for The Docks, this takes you along Melvill Road, at the end of this road there is a roundabout.

Take the first exit off this onto Bar road, The Apartment is the second turning on the left.
