The West Country region

The West Country / Cornwall region

Did you know that Cornwall was recently voted by people from all over Britain, the UK's best holiday destination at the British Travel Awards? And its not difficult to see why. A varied landscape, that contains dramatic cliffs and pounding surf along the north coast and hidden coves, hamlets and estuaries to the south, historic villages, a thriving local food and art scene, exotic gardens, wonderful sailing, surfing and rock pooling, a sense of history and community, all of which combines to offer the visitor a real sense of escape and well being.

What's more, Falmouth is perfectly positioned to sample all of these things.

Gardens like Trebah, Glendurgan and Trelissick and idyllic waterside villages such as St Mawes and Helford, are literally on the doorstep and can be visited on a memorable boat trip from Falmouth. Must see Cornish events, destinations and attractions such as Culdrose Air Day, Royal Cornwall Show, Daphne de Maurier Festival, St Ives, Truro, Padstow, the Minack Theatre or the Eden Project are all under an hour away, either by car, train, bus or boat.

"A nice place, but.."

These apartments have lovely view of Falmouth Harbour in the distance. They reside on a very congested street with parking of cars on each side barely leaving room for traffic down the center. Fortun… More

Again it is disappointing that you feel the need to continue to review the same property but this time with added comments. As you can appreciate parking in Falmouth is at a premium as it is a hugely popular location for holiday makers. We have invested £10,000 on each parking space and supply it to you free of charge to guarantee your off road parking is secure for the duration of your stay. We are in no way responsible for residents or other holiday makers parking their vehicles.
The apartment is a 1 Bedroom property and is advertised as such which you happily booked last minute at a discounted rate, we do have other 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments available if you required something larger or a 1 bedroom with King Size Bed, the choice was very much yours to make.
Your email to us during your stay only mentioned a broken coffee pot, NOT any problems with the shower or water?? We can only deal with issues we have been made aware of at the time. You made no mention of this and the first we found out about it was another review you left. Whilst you are free to write a review which we welcome, it needs to be honest and objective, qualities your review seems to lack. We pride ourselves in responding quickly should anything occur. As soon as you did report the coffee pot, it was replaced. We had an engineer look at the water and temperature. There were no issues other than an energy saving water flow restrictor fitted which has now been removed. Had you have contacted us immediately, the minor issue could have been resolved within an hour.
To clarify to other holiday makers, the apartments are a new build development and NOT refurbished as you incorrectly describe.
