Notes :

Falmouth is the worlds third largest natural harbour and a gateway to a network of beautiful rivers and creeks. One of the most picturesque ports, world famous for over 300 years, with a rich and varied maritime heritage. Famous for its beaches and Henry Vlll's castle and infamous for its smuggling and pirates.

Home to many classic sailing events, festivals and regattas, including the Henry Lloyd Falmouth Week and the visually spectacular Tall Ships Race.

A choice of four main differing but equally lovely golden beaches washed by the Atlantic and warmed by the Gulf Stream.

The world wide links across the seas gave access to exotic plants from China and Australasia and these have thrived in the local climate resulting in beautiful sub-tropical gardens in Falmouth and nearby. One of these is Trelissick Gardens N.T which can be visited by boat from the nearby Prince of Wales Pier.

Falmouth is in the centre of areas designated AONB, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, located on the South West Coastal Path a magnet for walkers and picnickers .

There are lots of special places to visit in Cornwall . Spectacular beaches, surf spots and surf schools, boat trips, gorgeous gardens, cliff top walks, St Michaels Mount, Minack Theatre, Lands End, King Arthurs Castle, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trebah Gardens, Museums, Castles and Art Galleries .
