Townhouse | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
A former Victorian townhouse overlooking the harbour, Captain's Reach is an impressive property with high ceilings and many original features throughout its large rooms, offering luxury accommodation at an affordable price. The property is split over two floors, with three bedrooms, including a private den room with ensuite bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen with gas range cooker, and a sea facing living room with a log burner.
The house itself is an old Captains house built so that Captains of sailing vessels could view their ships in the harbour. As such, the property has commanding views over the entire Falmouth harbour, including unobstructed views of the Roseland Peninsula and both Pendennis and St Mawes' Castles.
We are five minutes walk away from the town centre and harbour, and within a fifteen minute stroll to the nearby beaches and gardens. You could park the car and not use it again for the week!

The Cornwall region
Falmouth itself has multiple restaurants that cater to a high quality and cover almost all types of cuisine, and there is plenty to do for those without a car including the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, several eclectic art galleries, a vibrant live music scene, and several good pubs (including a quiet one just two doors away!).
For those with transport, Falmouth's sheltered South coast location, means that it gets the best of the weather without the cutting winds that sometimes blight the North coast. That said, it is within easy reach of the main Cornish attractions including Newquay, the Eden Project, and Lands End, and there are several award winning gardens nearby including Trebah, Heligan, and the Trelissick Gardens. For those who like history, Pendennis Castle in Falmouth is worth exploring, and was one of the last Royalist castles to fall during the English Civil War, or alternatively the smaller St Mawes' Castle across the bay.
