The West Country region

Cornwall is a popular tourist destination, steeped in history and blessed with a beautiful coastline and beaches. Whether you enjoy a busy active holiday or you want to put you feet up and watch the world go by Cornwall will offer you these luxuries. Enjoy a stroll around one of the many Cornish fishing villages whilst dining on a traditional Cornish pasty. The north coast is a popular destination for surfers, and there is also numerous quality golf courses and fine dining. There are a number of cycle paths that snake there way through the county and are an excellent way to view the countryside. World class attractions include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Minack Theatre to name but a few.

A beautiful small town that is steeped in history, Penryn has now developed into a centre for creative arts that has spilled out from the local university campus. Located at the head of Penryn river, the town was a medieval port and this history is clearly visible as you stroll around the town . With a number of artisan shops and a sustainable development at Jubilee Wharf including shops, businesses and a charming waterside cafe. Raze the Roof, a large indoor play area and Granite Planet Climbing Wall are both very close to Trematon Holiday home and are perfect for those rainy days.

Neighbouring Falmouth has a number of attractions. The National Maritime Museum, Falmouth Aquarium, Pendennis Castle, boats to St Mawes and a good selection of shops and eateries including Rick Steins fish restaurant.

A short drive away are the villages of Flushing and Mylor. Both waterside locations with great walks and traditional pubs. The Pandora Inn at Restronguet, Mylor is hard to beat, a 14th century thatched pub with a pontoon on the water.

"Basic, modern and functional."

We stayed there for 8 nights over May half term and initially we were very disappointed as the the property was not particularly clean for our arrival. The kitchen floor was dirty/sticky and there was… More

Many thanks for your feedback; I was incredibly disappointed to hear about your issues with the cleanliness of the property, as was my cleaner who was very, very upset. The house is cleaned from top to bottom between rentals and the sheets are professionally laundered.

1. The house normally has full cleaning kit available for people who are staying, however they had been borrowed for another property for the weekend. When I found out about this they were replaced immediately.

2. We have had a full spring clean of the house since this feedback and implemented a thorough checklist so that dirty cutlery/plates etc do not get put back by previous guests and missed in the changeover.

3. The drop off onto concrete is behind a fence and a flower bed. This is a good deterrent for children but is not 110% fool proof. I would be keeping an eye on small children playing in any garden and believe this is a safe and fun garden for families.

4. I can't really say much about the neighbours, apart from they have always been incredibly friendly when we have stayed there.

We have always had such good feedback about the cleanliness of the house and do take pride in making sure the house is beautifully presented.

"Fabulous place for Christmas"

We made a booking to go to Cornwall at Christmas as we wanted enough space for three generations to enjoy time together and somewhere where we could take our dogs. The house proved perfect for this. It gave lots of comfortable space and was brilliant for the big feast! We were pleasantly surprised how well provisioned the kitchen was. My hubby is the chef and he loved that there was the sort of equipment that we have at home, which you do not normally get at a holiday home.

There are numerous board games, puzzles, DVDs etc which was ideal for keeping everyone entertained. The local town was really quaint and the views from the house were lovely.

I thoroughly recommend this place, we will definitely be returning.
