This surprisingly spacious original split-level holiday home, is situated moments from the town centre, with direct pedestrian access from the High Street, or alternatively from Harbour Terrace. The location is a haven for keen yachtsmen with Falmouth's main marina nearby on North Parade, deep water moorings, numerous sailing and rowing clubs, and is just a few minutes' walk along Greenbank from the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club.

Falmouth offers excellent amenities; shops, restaurants, galeries and antique stores are all within a short walk, as well as passenger ferry services from nearby Prince of Wales Pier to Flushing and Saint Mawes and a wide variety of other boat trips. The safe sandy beaches of Maenporth and Gyllingvase are within a short drive or bus ride and there are regular train and bus services to Truro, with connections to all parts of the country.

The property was entirely refurbished o a high standard for four people in 2011, with the object of making our guests feel comfortable and at home. The apartment is accessed by a stable-type door opening into a superb living/dining area with a timber beamed vaulted ceiling, giving on to a balcony with views down Dunstanville Terrace towards the Greenbank Hotel and a limited view over the estuary. There are two comfortable sofas and and a modern glass-topped dining table with six dining chairs.

The kitchen has been entirely refitted with a slate-effect tiled floor, classic white cabinets and a tastefully tiled splashback around the entire room. It is equipped with brand-new appliances, including a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, full-sized dishwasher and electric oven and hob with a matching hood.

A short flight of stairs leads to the two double bedrooms, one of which enjoys a view over the estuary and the other an original aspect of the clock tower and weather vane which dominate the top of High Street. There is ample cupboard space,

The family bathroom is situated between the two bedrooms. Our guests have a choice between the traditional bathtub and the new electric shower installed over the bath.

All the flooring is brand new, with acarian-free wooden-style surfaces in the living and bedroom areas, and tiling in the kitchen and bathroom. New efficient electric heaters have been installed in October 2013 to improve winter guests' comfort.

A sunny private courtyard is the approach to the entrance to the apartment, and the balcony to the other side of the property is accessed from the living room and one of the bedrooms.

The entrance to the secured private parking space is in the High Street.

Within Packet Quays there is a residents' garden to the rear of Janes Court, adjacent to which there is also a residents' slipway leading directly on to the inner harbour.

The development is niched into the cliffside, and therefore can only be accessed by stairways; for this reason, the property is unfortunately not suitable for disabled access or for very young children.

Falmouth

Aberfal 'the mouth of the Fal': originally called Peny-cwm-cuic, which later became 'Pennycomequick', it was here that Henry VIII built Pendennis Castle to defend Carrick Roads, in 1540. The main town was at Penryn. Sir John Killigrew created the town of Falmouth shortly after 1613.

The Falmouth Packet Service operated out of Falmouth for over 160 years between 1689 and 1851. Its purpose was to carry mail to the Continent and beyond.

Today, Falmouth is a thriving town, boasting fine beaches, monuments steeped in history and a wealth of splendid gardens. The Oyster Festival, and the new Spring Festival are occasions to be tempted by local fare and the wonderful countryside around the town is a paradise for walkers and cyclists.

The National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle, the Falmouth Lifeboat Station and the Ships and Castles Leisure Centre are just a few of the local attractions. Further afield, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and the Saint Ives Tate Gallery are examples of the wealth of interesting sites well worth visiting.

"very very good vacation rental"

We are a french family, sorry for our english...
When arriving in Falmouth, appartment easy to find with given informations.
All was clean and ready to use (kitchen,bathroom,tv,wi-fi,bedrooms and breakfast for the next morning).
Enjoying this beautiful country can be done without car. The appartment is near town center for pubs, restaurants or shopping and piers for visiting Flushing, St Mawes etc...
Beautiful footpathes for short or long walks.
We will surely come again.

"A lovely holiday hide-away, close to all the attractions & amenities of Falmouth."

We really enjoyed the home from home, lovely welcomming touches, house was lovely and clean and very well presented. Communication from owner was excellent, directions for entry were great and parking was just right. Falmouth was lovely to explore, house location was perfect for short trips to town or as a base for longer day trips. I can also recommend Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, lovely medical care teams and ENT services very helpful. A holiday to remember!!

"Lovely Apartment in a Perfect Location"

This lovely apartment takes some beating! Situated at the top of Falmouth's High Street it is really close to all the shops, harbour, pubs and restaurants yet is very quiet with no disturbance or " street sounds". Our rooom had views of boats bobbing on the water and the sun on the fields of Flushing village accross the water. We found the beds very comfortable. The accomodation was spotlessly clean and all we could have wished for with ample space, a well equiped kitchen, lots of hot water and quality fittings and bedding. We will hope to stay again.

"A great place to stay"

A very well equipped apartment ideally suited for two couples. The apartment is in a good location shops etc in easy reach and well placed for days out.The apartment has been well thought out and the extra touches, flowers and wine and local buns, on arrival were very welcome after a long drive.
Falmouth it's self is well worth a visit and it's proximity to other attractions make it a great holiday destination especially if like us you are lucky with the weather.
The owner is very quick to answer any questions.
