However for a great trip out climb aboard one of the many pleasure boats and passenger ferries which ply the local waters to the picturesque St Mawes harbour, Flushing Village, Trelissick Gardens, Smugglers Cottage at Tolverne, Truro and the Helford Passage.
Discover Cornwall's maritime roots at the National Maritime Museum Falmouth, also Ships and Castles leisure complex next to Pendennis Castle. Open daily throughout the year for family fun with 70 metre flume rapid river ride, ride wave machine and swim school.
The striking Lizard, Helford and Roseland peninsulas are within easy reach. Also there is Flambards theme Park at Helston.
