Truro, Cornwall's capital city and once one of Cornwall's largest and busiest sea ports, offers something for everybody from its amazing cathedral and shops to The Hall for Cornwall theatre and vibrant night life.
The Falmouth / Penryn area
St Gluvias offers many things to do with out having to touch your car keys !!
At the top of St Gluvias street there is the Penryn Museum numerous shops, boutiques, pubs, cafes, restaurants banks, post office, bus stops and even a train station !
From the cottage you can enjoy the lovely waters edge walk from Penryn to Flushing or discover Miss Peapods cafe and enjoy a drink while taking in the harbour views.
Falmouth, a 5 minute drive away offers Water taxi & Ferry services plus boat trips for whale watching etc, or just spend the day on one of the numerous local lovely beaches ! The famous National maritime museum, Pendennis castle or Ships & Castles leisure centre are also popular local attractions.
Travel a little further and visit the Seal sanctuary at Gweek or horse riding at Bosvathick farm, whatever your interests there's plenty to see and do right on your doorstep.

Absolutely amazing doesn't describe St. Gluvias. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was magical. The attention to detail, the locally sourced produce in the welcome pack, the fresh flowers and so much more. St. Gluvias has got a certain charm about it which we have never found anywhere else! The location is also perfect, just a couple of hundred yards from the estuary. Our host Simon really ensured we were looked after and even came around to show us some of the mod cons (we are not techno savvy) All we can say is that if you want a unique stay in Cornwall, this most certainly is the best place to stay! We have said to Simon that when we win the lottery we would like to live in his house no matter what the cost and we are not joking!!! |

Fantastic cottage comes equipt with just about everything !! Loverly flowers and Champagne on arrival ,top quality kitchen with designer goodies , we felt very spoilt and didnt want to leave ! we will definetly be back again and would recommend this Amazing cottage to anybody Thank you Simon for evrything - a true cornish Gem |
