Beautifully finished barn conversion ideal for families or a quiet get away. The barns come complete with a full range of facilities and equipment which includes equipped kitchen, TV, DVD, IPOD Dock, leather sofas, high chair, travel cot. The barn adjoins our Granary barn and can be opened up to provide accomodation for fourteen on request and by negotiation subject to availability of the Granary. The beautiful heated indoor pool and games room containing a full sized snooker table, two pool tables, two table tennis tables and a bar football table mean that when your not visiting the lovel Norfolk coast you can enjoy an active leisure time

The East Anglia / Norfolk region

Beautiful costal walks along promonades,cliff tops or vast expanses of sandy beaches, this superb birdwatching location with its numerous statley homes and quaint interesting market towns are but a few of the attractions to this special part of North Norfolk. There's Norwich with its amazing Cathederal and King's Lynn Town both steeped in history. For good old fashioned seaside ambiance take the Steam Train from Holt and chugg majestically along Norfolks famous 'Poppy Line' to Sherringham, or take a boat trip from Blakney to see the seals, or you could spend a day messing around on the water on one of the Norfolk Broads.

The Fakenham / Toftrees area

Fakenham is a Market Town that offers something for everyone, there's a nine hole golf course, a driving range, a sports centre with tennis and squash courts and indoor bowling, a cinema, tenpin bowling alley and indoor childrens play centre, its weekly farmers and bric a brac market and the local auction take place on a Thurdsay in the town centre. Sculthorpe Owl and Nature reserve and Pensthorpe Wildlike Park famous for BBC's Nature Watch flag the town on either side, if its action you are looking for then look no further than Fakenhams' own National Hunt Race Course, if its history and culture Castle Acre Ruins, if its Arts and Crafts Sandringham Fair, and for fun and frivolity visit Norfolk around Carnival time when Wells Cromer and Sherringham show their true colours.

“Fantastic, relaxing break!” Really enjoyed our stay at West Barn, with our two young boys ( 2 & 5 yrs old). Quiet, comfortable and relaxing accommodation. Owners were great and couldn't do enough for us. Lovely location and perfect for exploring Norfolk. The pool and games room were a major plus and we used both daily, even though the weather was good. We will definitely be back!

“Wonderful stay - perfect hosts and great facilities” We had a fantastic stay at West Barn and the Granary over the June Jubilee weekend. We were amazed that the barns were available at this busy time, as all the holiday rentals that looked good were fully booked. I think it is due to the current owners only recently taking over. We were a little apprehensive about what to expect, however the whole holiday exceeded our expectations. Nicky & Nigel (?) the owners were great - so accomodating and happy to help out with anything. There was wine, bread, jam, milk, cakes, etc. on arrival, which was great and most unexpected. The barns themselves were gorgeous - full of character (lots of old exposed brickwork and beams, etc). Having both barns worked out really well, as there is an interconnecting door, which makes it like one large cottage. The facilities were fantastic. The pool is great and is only chest high at the deepest point, so good for the kids. There are a couple of other barns that we think are owned separately and we did see a couple of other families, however everytime we went in the pool or the games room they were empty. The games room is huge with a full size snooker table, 2 x pool tables, 2 x table tennis and table football. It did look like the local cat sleeps on one of the pool tables!! Also if you are a table tennis pro, you may want to bring your own bats, but the ones there were great for us amateurs! The location was perfect - just off an A road between Swaffham and Fakenham, but loads of countryside around to enjoy. We drove to Wells next the Sea, which has a fantastic beach, nice little town and tonnes of stuff for the kids to do. I would definitely recommend a visit or 2. I would definitely recommend this place if you are taking kids - the pool, neighbouring horses, seaside, etc. will keep them busy for the whole week. We also had 3 teenagers with us and the games room kept them occupied for hours.
