"Everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location"
Acabanes is the perfect location for a family holiday. It is so well equipped and every little detail has been thought about and provided. We shared our holiday with friends too as Acabanes is also perfect for large groups of friends. The children had a ball with all the places to explore and the amazing pool. There are also lots of beautiful places to explore nearby and great places to eat. There is lots of local information provided to help out with planning your time. We didn't manage to fit in everything we wanted to do in a week so we will definitely be back.

"Peace & tranquillity in quite possibly the finest region in France."
The location of Acabanes is stunning, extremely rural supporting a wonderful collection of countryside wildlife to see and hear during your stay and surrounded by beautiful fields and woodland. The facilities inside and outside the property are fantastic, we have stayed in many premium holiday rentals in France, Portugal, Mallorca and Florida, and this certainly ranks right up there with the best. Tracey & Adi (the owners) have spared no expense in providing the perfect relaxing holiday for even the most hard to please of guests. We fortunately had the pleasure of meeting them both as they were visiting the region at the time of our stay. During our conversation it was interesting and inspiring to learn of how hard they have worked and strived to make both of their wonderful properties a place for others to enjoy as much as they have themselves, a lovely couple. The property is very clean throughout, the beds extremely comfortable (and large), the bathroom facilities excellent, the living area spacious with entertainment/activities options also excellent. Great pool and lounges, with all outside amenities available very good indeed. Okay, residential just about covered I think, then there's the area within which Acabanes is situated. The few times we did venture out during our week was always a joy, the region is one of the finest wine producing areas in the world, and this is clearly evident when driving through miles and miles of beautiful fields and rolling hills of vineyards, with an incredible châteaux to view almost every mile. To re-iterate the point of how rural the property is, on a visit to a lovely small town called Eymet about 20 mins drive away, we did not see another vehicle en route for at least 10 mins, lovely. That said the nearest small supermarket in the village of Sigoules (less than 10 mins away) is terrifically well equipped and would suit most needs. We didn't venture too far in the short time spent, despite that all the places we visited were lovely, Saint Emilion in particular, and all never too far afield. Overall the best week away we have had in quite some time and definitely worth consideration.

"A quality break"
We visited Acabanes for a short break over the winter and really appreciated a peaceful time in this very well equipped holiday home. We were never bored due to the large plasma, a huge selection of dvd's, the pool table and a large selection of board games. All furniture and fittings were of the highest standard with 4 poster bed and wood burner and well equipped kitchen made this a home from home experience.
Our travel was through Bergerac airport, only 20mins from Acabanes, ........ very convenient.

"something for everyone"
Enjoyed an out of season golfing holiday in March with friends. The golf course was only a ten minute drive from the house. Acabanes was a good choice of holiday rental due to the extensive indoor facilities: pool table, board games, table football and the 50in plasma with hundreds of dvd's. We also enjoyed the infrared sauna and heated outdoor pool. The non golfers used the house bikes for leisurely rides and enjoyed the local wine tasting. A holiday for everyone!

"Luxury in the dordogne"
We stayed at Acabanes in Janary this year. It was cold in the Dordogne during this month but luckily the sunshine came out during the day so we were able to explore the area.
We spent most of our time cycling around the quiet lanes as well as visiting all the nearby old towns. The house is really is a fantastic location for this and what we loved the most was that you hardly saw any cars.
The house lists everything on their website but I did not expect it to actually be so well equipped. I had more equipment at Acabanes than I do in my own house! The fires were also used a lot in the evenings and it made the house very cosy. We also loved playing pool and every evening had a mini-competition.
The rooms were all beautifully decorated and all individual. What was the nicest was the ipod docking stations and the tea and coffee facilities. These are small things but are very special touches.
In terms of restaurants, we would really recommend Tour des Vents near Bergerac. It is on top of the hill overlooking Bergerac and has fantastic views. If you want to go on a Saturday though you will need to phone inadvance, as we couldnt get a booking the first time we tried.
I would really recommend this house, it is luxurious and everything we could have asked for in a holiday. We are hoping to try to return June 2013 and see some more of the area.
