About the home

The house is located a few minutes walk to the centre of Eygalieres, which is well known as the most authentic village in the Alpilles and where you can find several good restaurants, a pharmacy, 2 groceries, bakeries and a library.

The Provence, made famous by Van Gogh, is very accessible and Saint-Remy-de-Provence and Les Baux-de-Provence are only about 10km away.

The sea side is about an hour's drive but you have the choice between the sandy beaches of the Camargue and the turquoise waters of the Calanques de Cassis.

This little place of paradise benefits from an unspoilt view on the Alpilles, which you can enjoy from the shady terrace. The terrace opens onto the ground floor which is composed of an fully equipped kitchen and a lounge where you can gather around the ancient fire place. A staircase takes you to the first floor into the bedroom, the bathroom and a laundy room with toilets.

Near the fire place, you can relax on the sofa and watch TV. Upstairs, the bath tub is bordered by a large window giving views on the landscape of the Alpilles.

A big terrace equipped with a South facing pergola provides access to the garden which has a great view on the Alpilles.

You can have breakfast or have a drink around the table which has 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers.

Nearby, a hiking trail enables you to discover the regional park of the Alpilles (cars are not allowed).

25% of the total of the rental is required at the time of booking.
The remaining is due 4 weeks before the date of location.

A €200 security deposit will be required on the day of arrival and will be given back on the last day after the property is checked.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Bouches-du-Rhone region

Located in the heart of Provence with its traditional markets (arts and crafts, flowers, fruit and vegetable, etc), you can enjoy a unique location for a hike amongst olive trees.

Why not discover the traditional oil mills and the vineyards of the Alpilles. You can continue your journey further South towards Arles and the Camargue where you may be interested in taking a horse ride or a boat ride and visit a bull farm.

The Eygalieres area

There are plenty of activities in the area: from horse riding to tennis, from gastronomic restaurants (2 Michelin stars) to the painting studios or even try flying a glider in Romanin.

For the golf enthusiasts, an 18 hole golf course is available in Pont-Royal which is 20km away.

In July, you can enjoy the theatre festival in Avignon and the festival of classical piano in La Roque d'Antheron within 30km. In September, St Remy de Provence hosts a very popular jazz festival.

By train: by TGV from Paris Gare de Lyon to Avignon, which is 30km away. The journey takes about 2h40. You can rent a car at the station through Budget, Hertz, etc.

By plane: fly to Marseilles Marignane, which is 50km away. You can also fly to Nimes Garon airport which is also about 50km away.
