The Penthouse is a dual aspect top floor apartment on Exmouth Marina, a very short walk to the sandy beach. With stunning views of the southern coastline to Berry Head (Torquay) and the estuary to the south and the busy marina to the North, take your pick of your choice of outlook. Three balconies in total, two south facing, make extremely pleasant spots for a day in the sunshine.

Whether you a a large family, two families or a couple who like space to themselves, you will find The Penthouse offers something for everyone. Contemporary and very well equipped, this will be your ideal home from home for the duration of your holiday.

Whilst Exmouth is very much a traditional seaside town with great facilities including an indoor pool, cinema and extensive off road cycle network, it also benefits from excellent transport links to the rest of Devon, with Exeter only a short drive or train journey away. There are many places to explore in the area, so if the sun doesn't appear keeping a family occupied will never be a problem.

Free Private undercover parking is available for one vehicle.

A long stay car park is on the opposite side of marina at a weekly cost of £23 per vehicle (Ticket allows for free parking in all East Devon DC short stay car parks) .

Three balconies, one overlooking the Marina with full sun in during the morning and with the other two south facing the coast and estuary receiving full sun all afternoon.

Security entrance, with private enclosed hallway to The Penthouse.

The Penthouse is situated in a residential development and as such is not suited to single sex parties, hen nights, stag weekends, etc.

Due to the nature of the third floor setting with three balconies, young children must be supervised at all times.

Please note that there is no lift in the building and access to the apartment is via three single flights of stairs.

The Penthouse is ideally situated at the quieter end of the seafront, in the more sophisticated surroundings of the Marina, with its many exclusive apartments bringing a very modern feel to a traditional seaside town.

One of the highlights that Exmouth has to offer is the extensive off road cycle path network, why not cycle from Exmouth to Starcross and return via the ferry back to the marina in front of the apartment.

"A lovely apartment, but with a sting in the tail......"

I feel prompted to write this review having read another for the same property stating that it was not in a clean state on arrival.We stayed in this property in July 2012....a splendid location, the b… More

As providers of high quality holiday accommodation for over five years, in three separate holiday properties, including the Penthouse, this was the first, and only occasion, that an element of cleaning deposit has ever been retained by us.

• Prior to a guest making a reservation at The Penthouse our plain English Booking Form and Terms and Conditions are supplied, it is made very clear that our expectation is for the apartment to be looked after and kept clean and tidy.

• Louise and I visit the apartment every Friday to undertake the changeover between guests departing and arriving, we prefer to do this personally as The Penthouse is very much our second home.

• The Penthouse is an extremely well appointed apartment, fitted with best brand appliances, including the Miele tumble dryer which continues to function perfectly.

• Our terms and conditions clearly state that young children should be supervised at all times.

Our aim is to welcome our guests with a stunning apartment, best brand quality appliances, fresh crisp bed linen and a standard of accommodation that we would expect to find anywhere else.

We trust our future guests will read this review on balance and if in doubt speak to one of us personally about The Penthouse.

"Contemporary penthouse apartment with stunning views"

The Penthouse is in a super location and we have a lovely stay with my husband and two sisters

With views of the modern marina on one side and the sea and River Exe estuary on the other, you couldn't want for a better location.

The accommodation is modern, spacious and exceptionally well equipped. Everything you could ask for was provided for us, fresh towels and bed linen, even a large range of cleaning materials.

All the bedrooms had LED flatscreen televisions and were themed very nicely, which was different to other holiday lets we have visited. The fresh bean coffee machine was also a real treat!

We will certainly return and would recommend this property to anyone who is able to accommodate a couple of flights of stairs.

"Disappointing, despite the wonderful views."

Exmouth is a lovely town which we have visited several times, and the apartment is in a lovely position and nicely furnished, but we were very disappointed on arrival to find the kitchen rather grubb… More

We take great care to ensure that our guest experience is first class from start to finish. It would however appear that on this occasion our exceptionally high standards of accommodation and cleanliness were not met.

Unfortunately we were not informed of any problems at the time and were therefore naturally rather shocked to receive such negative comments, nearly four months after the guest had stayed with us.

As owners very proud of our service, we would like to assure all prospective guests reading this review that our standards are exceptionally high and The Penthouse is a fabulous holiday destination; as our previous reviewers and returning guests will attest to.

"Spacious, luxurious apartment on the seafront"

This apartment really lived up to the photographs. It was really bright and spacious, with absolutely lovely views over the sea and the marina. It was close to all Exmouth's facilities, including promenade, ferry, pub, beach, coast path, town centre and station to Topsham/Exeter etc. Its position on the marina was both glamorous and quiet.

It was exactly what we wanted. There were three generations staying: there was ample open plan space for all of us, a very well equipped kitchen, and three bathrooms. The three generously sized bedrooms, all with TVs, meant we also had space to adjourn to. The quality of all the furnishings and accessories was superb. Even the hall and stairs were spacious.

All in all, a lovely find and we certainly hope to return.

"An oasis of luxury"

This is a great, spacious and very well kitted out apartment. The quality of the fixtures & fittings is well in excess of what you'd expect from a rental property. A great location with wonderful views in two directions. Given some good weather you can enjoy your meals on the balconies on either side. You need to be prepared to climb a few stairs but otherwise it's wonderful.
