Travellers Rest Holiday Cottage on Exmoor
House | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 5
The Travellers Rest is very well equipped, quite spacious, very cosy and comfortable - a real home from home.
It comfortably sleeps 5 with a double bedroom, small double and a bed settee if required. Bathroom and shower room. Private offroad parking, enclosed garden and patio.
We provide freshly laundered linen (not towels) and the electricity and heating are included in the tariff. The lounge is upstairs with excellent views across rural Exmoor. There is also one double bedroom upstairs and a bathroom. Downstairs is a kitchen/diner which is well equipped with dishwasher etc and doors leading to the garden and patio area. There is a second double bedroom downstairs and a shower room and utility room.
It is close to the friendly village of Wheddon Cross with its popular pub - The Rest and Be Thankful Inn where you can sometimes find evening entertainment and of course always get lunch or an evening meal. The village also has an excellent mini supermarket - ideal for all your bit and pieces of shopping during your stay.
We are pet friendly with plenty of nearby walks including Snowdrop Valley, Dunkery Beacon, Winsford, Tarr Steps and many more.
Delicious homemade cake ready for your arrival.
