Riverside cottages is tastefully furnished and comprehensively equipped to meet 'Visit England' 4 star standards. With three bedrooms sleeping 8 plus a cot, a double, 4 poster double with a single bed and a large bedroom with 3 single beds. All bedrooms have wash hand basins. There is a shower room with toilet and a bathroom with corner bath and toilet. On the ground floor the dining hall has a quarry tile floor and woodburner. The sitting room also has a woodburner “Freesat” television, DVD player and an ipod docking station. The separate kitchen has full sized fan oven, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The Cottage has ample car parking and is smoke free. We do welcome pets in Riverside and outside there is fenced courtyard garden of you and your pets enjoyment, we do ask that pets are not left unattended or are allowed onto beds or furniture.
Our cottage lies in a peaceful river valley within the beautiful Exmoor National Park on a working hill farm, and has been lovingly converted from a traditional 17th century Exmoor Mill, its picturesque situation inspired Landseer to paint the Mill in 1870s. Guests are invited to relax by the stream, or explore the 100 acre farm and enjoy its' wildlife, we often see buzzards and Exmoor's majestic Red Deer. For star gazers, its a great place to view the stars! Exmoor National Park has been designated an International Dark Sky Reserve, the first place in Europe to achieve this prestigious award. Our location is perfect for families and pet owners, with plenty of open space. We also have our own A.B.R.S Approved Riding Stables on the farm, offering horses and ponies for all abilities.
Riverside cottage provides a tranquil retreat, however the farm is within two miles of Lynton & Lynmouth where you will find a nice selection of small shops, galleries and restaurants. From the farm there is easy access to footpaths to the moor or around the coast on the famous South West Coast Path. The local bus stops at the top of the drive for those who would like to leave their car behind. New Mill Farm is well placed for exploring the magnificent scenery and experiencing exciting pursuits that Exmoor has to offer as well as the famous beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton for surfing.

Exmoor is situated in the south west of Britain, Exmoor National Park contains an amazing variety of landscapes within its 267 square miles. A unique landscape of moorland, woodland, valleys and farmland, shaped by people and nature over thousands of years. Where high cliffs plunge into the Bristol Channel with views across to the South Wales coast and distant mountains. There are cosy pubs, restaurants offering delicious local sourced produce and quintessentially English tearooms serving West Country clotted cream teas.
Exmoor National Park
Lynton is a small cliff-top Edwardian resort with individual shops/restaurants and stunning coastal scenery and the spectacular Valley of Rocks. Below is Lynmouth with picturesque harbour and boat trips around the bay. There is a seafront walk beside public lawns/garden with putting green and tennis courts. The twin villages are connected by road and cliff railway also a winding footpath up stream from Lynmouth where two rivers meet in a steep oak-wooded valleys is Watersmeet with tumbling waterfalls and a National Trust Tea Gardens.

"Secluded rural location"
