The many villages offer great pubs for food and drink plus plenty of tearooms so a relaxing holiday is also possible! The medieval town of Dunster is well worth a visit and offers a castle as well. The award winning North Devon beaches are within easy driving distance and the spectacular Exmoor cliffs (the highest in England) are always worth seeing. Recently voted the UK's favourite National Park, Exmoor has to be worth a visit at any time of year.

Exmoor

Located in the Somerset village of Exford, Court Farm Holiday Cottages are positioned on a bridleway adjacent to the River Exe right in the heart of Exmoor National Park. Exford has two good pubs, a tearoom, village stores and a Post Office. COurt Farm is ideal for walkers, riders, cyclists, dogs and their owners and anyone who wants to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the true English countryside. England’s largest wild animal, the Red Deer and the endangered Exmoor Pony can all be seen on Exmoor close to Court Farm. A wonderful centre for exploring this area of unspoilt countryside, it is also ideal for a spot of stargazing. Exmoor National Park has recently acquired International Dark Sky Reserve status and featured on the BBC Stargazing Live TV program. The night skies can be spectacular.

Tarr Steps, an ancient clapper bridge is a renowned beauty spot just 5 miles away and Watersmeet, Lynton & Lynmouth are within easy reach by car.

The ideal place for that tranquil holiday. Plenty of space. Dog friendly too. Great pub meals at either of the 2 dog friendly pubs, A riverside walk takes you to the pubs.

"Wonderful location from which to explore Exmoor and the adjoining coast"

This is our third stay at this lovely farm close to Exford. The two of us find Snowdrop Cottage, charming, immaculate, well equipped, and ideal for self catering if required, but there are at least four excellent pubs providing good food a short walk/drive away when we feel lazy! The Binks family, with their dogs and horses, are so welcoming and attentive, but not intrusive, and we find the location totally peaceful and relaxing and a wonderful spot from which to explore Exmoor and the adjoining and spectacular coastline of Somerset and North Devon.
We are always looking forward to our next visit.

"Well worth a visit"

If you like good basic accommodation with everything you need - including a fantastic power shower - give Court Farm a go. Situated in the centre of great walking country it is an ideal centre from where to strike out.
If cream teas are your fancy talk to David Binks and ask ... he knows!

"Lovely quiet getaway"

We were greeted very warmly by David on arrival who promptly introduced himself and showed us to our cottage. It's a lovely one bedroom property with everything you could possibly need. The village is home to a couple of pleasant pubs, a post office and a little convenience store. Snowdrop cottage is the perfect size for a couple to enjoy a getaway and we will certainly be returning for another well deserved break in the future.
