"Excellent value for money in a lovely area"
We arrived mid afternoon in glorious hot sunshine and was welcomed by David who had brought us fresh bread from the local boulangerie along with other essentials such as milk, jam and wine!!! Our two boys aged 8 and 10 really enjoyed swimming in a local lake and the plunge pool at the property was larger than expected and was nice to come back to after a long hot day sight seeing. David provides leaflets on absolutely every single tourist attraction/places of interest to suite all tastes and ages. David and his wife Heather were really good hosts, and never intruded on our privacy yet were always on hand to offer advice or help if requested. The property was well maintained and a great base to visit the many places of interest in the area. The balcony from the main bedroom offered a great place to sit in the evening overlooking the river with a fantastic view. Thank you once again David and Heather and we hope to visit you again soon. In an amazing position overlooking the river Vienne, with a bedroom balcony to die for! Dave, Heather and Mahrey were perfect hosts - always there when you need them but not overpowering. The pool was an amazing refuge when temperatures got in to the low 40's. The house was comfortable and well appointed with a great deal of privacy and nice size outside areas. Village is close by for essential provisions and a friendly cafe/bar.

"Relaxing, comfortable riverside retreat, love it!"
I travelled to France for a week to relax and unwind. I had found Le Terrier after a web search and it seemed ideal for my needs. The location is lovely, overlooking the river Vienne. The owners, David and Heather, were there to greet me on my arrival. They showed me round, and over a cup of coffee, provided information on local facilities, such as where to find the local bakery, and things to see and do in the area. I was pleased to find a welcome pack on the table, and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch. The property was warm, welcoming and very well equipped. The bed was comfortable, with crisp cotton sheets, and the whole property smelt fresh and clean. The weather was good, warm and sunny, which enabled me to make full use of the pool in the garden, and to spend time reading, laying on a sun lounger with a glass of wine, relaxing heaven! I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing break in comfortable, well equipped surroundings, and I have already booked for my next visit.
