In the centre of Exmoor National Park, beside the river Exe and only 10 minutes drive from the beautiful coastline. AA 4 stars. An upside down character cottage, sleeping 2 to 5 people in 2 downstairs bedrooms, comprising one double and one room with 3 single beds. The bath and shower room is also downstairs. Upstairs, under the exposed beams, is the spacious living/dining room and a separate kitchen area. Steps up to the front door and an additional door to the courtyard from downstairs. There is a shared, separate garden seating area looking down to the river. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided. Pets welcome. Stabling available.
The cottage is well equipped. The living room has a flat screen satellite TV with DVD/CD and free WiFi. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, electric hob and oven, kettle, cafetiere, etc. The bathroom has a full size bath, heated towel rail, wall mounted heater, etc. In addition there is a power shower in a separate area outside the bathroom. All bed linen, tea towels, toilet rolls, etc. are supplied, plus a bath towel for each person. The beds are made up for your arrival. There is a cot, plus a high chair and a stair gate. The cottage has full central heating and hot water all included from our new biomass boiler. Logs for the fire are free. No hidden extras!

It is at Riscombe Farm and we have some sheep, goats, ponies, chickens and ducks. Lots to see and do in and around the National Park.
The Exmoor area offers beautiful scenery, historic villages, lakes, rivers, beaches and is ideal for walking, cycling or just touring. Enjoy the excellent local food and drink, visit National Trust properties and travel back in time on a steam railway!
