We have had a fantastic stay in your gorgeous, characterful cottage over the New Year.

We really appreciated all the effort that has been put into making the cottage so comfortable and guest friendly!

Due to the wet weather we've spent lots of time hanging out by the fire although we have managed a couple of walks - we really enjoyed Llanthony Abbey today.

Thanks also for the lovely hamper of goodies! We'd love to come back soon and thanks again. Happy New Year!

Susie, Jon, Bella, Fia and Rosa.

We have had a lovely time staying at the Apple Garden this weekend. The cottage is so beautifully furnished, we really felt at home staying here. Thank you for the Welcome Basket, the fresh bread was delicious and we loved the brownies and bakewell tart! We also thought the flowers in every room were lovely and the hand-made soaps/chocolates - you really have thought of everything!

As soon as we arrived at the cottage it felt homely and welcoming. The garden and the views are beautiful and we felt so relaxed spending time here. We enjoyed the local walks and pubs and everywhere had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. "Hay on Wye is worth a visit, a beautiful little town with independent shops and a market on Thursday. We went to a French restaurant, which serves delicious food and has a lovely atmosphere. Thank you for the welcome basket and delicious lemon cake, we enjoyed it all very much! And thank you for providing everything (crockery, towels, even logs!) - it meant we could just relax and enjoy every minute of this beautiful cottage!!"

"Beautiful cottage and garden. Finished to an excellent standard.

Loved all the little touches that make it so much more welcoming - the chocolates, cake, welcome basket, snuggly blankets.

Your garden is fab for pets and children. The dog loved chasing the cars down the length of of it as they drove by!

Our idea of heaven for a weekend break - will definitely be recommending this one!

Thank you.

And Alfie the dog... 'Thanks for my treats and bed!' "

We have had a very relaxing week walking in the hills (Offa's Dyke, Sugar Loaf Mountain), canoeing in the river Wye nad swimming in the waterfalls. Would definitely recommend the Inn at Pantygelli for food - excellent food and the staff were superb. Also enjoyed our last meal at The Crown in Longtown - worth the walk back!

Thank you for a great stay in a lovely cottage. The Welcome basket was very welcome - yummy! Jack just asked if we can take the rest home

Was great not having to bring towels with you - and the ones here are so lovely - super soft!

The gardens are superb and we enjoyed sitting in the sun while Jack played in the sand pit - the next group of holiday makers may find Olly the Octopus in there!

Lots of beautiful scenery all around- and very peaceful - apart from the occasional mooing cow

All in all, a lovely week. Tracy, Andy, Jack and Sue

We have very much enjoyed living in your house, the children really liked climbing up to the tree house. They also liked building houses in the sand pit. We all really enjoyed the fire and watching some of your great selection of DVD's. It was nice seeing the cows and being out in the countryside. We had great fun running around the garden. Even the wet days were fun!" The Ball Family

"Fanatastic period cottage in beautiful quiet setting but close to amenities"

I was looking for peace and comfort and this cottage had it all. And yet it was only 5 mins drive from a well stocked local store and pub. I stayed here for one week with my dog and neither of us wanted to return to London. Izzi my Shepherd particularly enjoyed the doggie bed and treats left by the owner. It is also perfect for children. It has a very large secure back and front garden and what every child would love -- a treehouse -- and an amazing array of toys in the toy box. If that is not enough there are also dvd's music, Sky and books.
The wood stove is easy to light with a wood shed filled with logs.
As I had to work a bit while there I appreciated the high speed internet.

Clearly the owner loves this property as her attention to detail is appreciated. Hand made soap, candles, beautiful throws in the lounge and nice linen.
Just one point - not great for those over 6 foot
