I booked Tafelberg for a surprise birthday weekend away for my husband. When we arrived we both instantly really liked the cabin and its location. The cabin itself was clean, warm and had everything you need for a relaxing break. The location is great, overlooking the river with a lovely well maintained gardened. The snow which fell while we were there made it even more picturesque. Each morning a pair of swans and ducks shared our toast! If the weather had been a little warmer we would have taken the kayak out! We explored the near by towns of worcester and strafford, both well worth a visit. Also we ate at the local pub which provides good pub meals at very reasonable prices. We would highly recommend Tafelberg to anybody. Carla and Ian were both very welcoming. My husband liked this cabin so much he wants to find a similar spot and build his own! |

I booked our stay at Tefelberg as a surprise long weekend away for my partner's birthday. Being busy people, we both needed a quiet retreat in which to recharge our batteries and Tafelberg turned out to be more than we could have ever wished for. Set in a picturesque, quiet riverside location, the cabin is well maintained and equipped with everything we needed for our stay (though we didn't get to try out the bikes and kayak provided!). The garden is beautiful and our border collie just loved the private access points straight into the river! We loved sitting on the veranda first thing in the morning with our coffee, overlooking the garden and river, listening to all the birds singing away. And the riverside walks on our doorstep, coupled with the cosy nights in with the log fire lit, were a bonus! Tafelberg is now our secret escape and we are already planning our return later in the year. Perfect, just perfect! Thank you. |

Tafelberg is really lovely. The cabin is extremely comfortable with every convienience you could need. Two good size bedrooms with comfy beds & lovely fresh linen with plenty of spare if needed. The main bathroom is huge & the shower room a good size too.A well fitted kitchen with fridge, freezer, micro, washing machine & cooking facilities. The location is fantastic right on the river perfect for a bit of fishing or canoeing & surrounded by a very pretty garden & countryside. The way in is through a very smart caravan site & down a track which leads to the cabin, perfect if you want to get away from it all.We were met as arranged & taken in & shown around .Relaxing in the sunshine on the veranda was bliss & when the sun went down inside was lovely & cosy the central heating making it very warm.A big bonus for us was being dog friendly ... we took two.A lovely area with some very pretty villages.Highly recommended |
