Casa Nirvana is a beautiful 3 bedroom villa with private pool and fantastic views over the hills and sea. The villa is located just outside the village Estorninhos, in the hills north of Cabanas and 10 km from the romantic town TAVIRA. On a 10 you find the most beautifull long and quiet beaches of the Algarve.

The villa has several terraces provided with plenty of wooden tables, chairs and sun umbrellas and on each time of the day you can always find a cool shady place.

Interior: A nice living room with open kitchen and fireplace and on both side of the house there are open doors to terraces The main bedroom has a balcony and the other two rooms have their own terrace. All the bedrooms are provided with mosquito nets and fans. There is a beautiful large marble bathroom with bath and walk in shower, toilet, washing machine and a dryer.

The swimmingpool has a depth of 1.4m and has a diameter of 6.5m. The pool is not fenced off, so we don't recomment children who cannot swim.

Beaches: Both Cabanas Island and Tavira Island you can reach within 15 minutes by car.

Restaurants: In the neighbourhood of the house you will find some very good local restaurants (6 km).

Golf Courses: In about 7km is portugals largest golf course There are 2 more golfcourses within 10km..

There is a 250 euro breakage deposit which is refunded on departure.

The Algarve region

In the hills of Estorninhos there is a plenty of nice walkingtrails. Golf courses are located within 15 km from Estorninhos. There are nice european and local restaurants in Cabanas and also in Tavira. Tavira, a very romantic town has her own Shopping centre GRAND PLAZA and there are a lot of well known supermarkets for example: Continte, Lidle, Pinge Doce and Aldi. Cabanas has a nice walking boulevard with her terraces and restaurants.

The East is the most quiet part of the algarve and has beautiful long beaches such as Manta Rota, Cabanas Island (by boat ca 4 minutes), Tavira Island (by boat ca. 15 minutes) and Barril.

This is a respond on the review of Mr. Gregory. I am the owner of Casa Nirvana.

We are very surprised at this review giving the information that is provided
by our website and our experience of hosting numerous visitors to the
Algarve in our home.

Mr and Mrs Gregory spent les then 24 hours in my home and their behaviour was
both unreasonable and inconsiderate. I arrived within one hour of discovering
that they wanted to move out. I believe that the unusual wet weather in
October this year, combined with their desire not to be remote, triggered Mr
Gregory into looking for problems that did not exist, to try and persuade me
to return his money.

I have been renting my home to holidaymakers for some time now and to date,
can honestly say we have received nothing but praise from my guests.
It is my intention to write to some of my previous guests and ask them if
they would be prepared to write a review on this site to convey their

That said, may I address some of the points raised.

My web site clearly states the location as just outside the village of
Estominhos, yet Mr Gregory complains that the location was withheld until he
had paid in full for the booking. This is not the case. This property is
remote and no attempt is made to hide that fact. Indeed the photos indicate
the remoteness as does the accompanying text.
Complaining about the property because of its remoteness when we clearly
indicate that it is remote, surely is not a valid criticism.

Had I known their age, I may have in fact tried to put them off from
booking, but again it is clear from the web site, where it states that the
good local restaurants are 6km away and that a car is essential because of
the property being remote.

The kitchen is well equipped with a gas oven with 4 gas rings, a separate
wok burner with 3 gas rings for high temperature fast cooking and a separate
smaller electric hot air oven.

We use this kitchen daily and we are at a loss as to how anyone could take 2
hours to cook a simple meal in this well equipped kitchen.

The beds are high quality orthopaedic beds. We purchased these beds as I am
a therapist who is well aware of the benefits of such beds to a persons well

Regarding the windows, every winter, I add additional draft and rain
barriers to the property for my own comfort. This is not normally required
when I have guests as they come in the good weather. October this year was
unusually wet, so I brought forward my winter protection. The property is
not damp. I did point out the window protection on the one balcony window
and a door to Mr Gregory and there would have been no need for him to open
these particular doors and windows, given the inclement weather, in the few
hours they were in my home.

Built in wardrobes are not a feature of a typical Portuguese property. There
is plenty of space for storing and hanging clothes.

When I arrived shortly after they had called me to discuss their 'problems',
they were already packed and loading their car. They gave me no opportunity
to discuss their concerns. Their minds were already made up and all they
wanted was their money returned so they could move into a hotel in a local

In order to accommodate them, I had move out of my home and paid for
alternative accommodation. In addition, their complaints had no substance.
Their decision to put such a damaging complaint on a website without
allowing any discussion or attempt at resolving any issue indicates the
nature and purpose of their thinking and statements. The aim appears to be
to cause damage rather than to admit any liability in choosing a property in
a remote area.
