This elegant and spacious penthouse is available for holiday rental in Sun Beach, Estepona, Costa Del Sol, only ten minutes away from Marbella and Puerto Banus, and 45 minutes from both Malaga and Gibraltar airports. On the second floor, with views on the gardens and pools of the complex, wonderful views from the roof garden, the apartment consists of three double (or twin) bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en suite), kitchen, separate laundry room and a beautiful large living area. with sliding doors to a sunbathing and dining terrace. There are white marble floors throughout. Upstairs, there is an enormous (around 900 sguare feet) private roof terrace, with dining and sunbathing facilities and a barbecue. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave, large fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble-dryer. There are lots of English language books. A telephone line is provided for incoming calls and free local and national Spanish calls, and wireless ADSL internet connection.There is a safe installed in the master bedroom suite. This stretch of the coast is becoming known as the new Golden Mile, with more 5-star hotels than Marbella. The beach is a 2 minute stroll away, offering bars, restaurants and water sports. Sun Beach is surrounded by top international golf courses, and Selwo Safari Park is only 5 minutes' drive away.A weekly change of linen is included, and baby-sitting (English speaking) or maid service are available if required. All linen and towels (including beach towels) are provided. There are many restaurants, clubs and bars in the area, but the penthouse itself is absolutely quiet, and very safe for children. All linen and towels, including beach towels, are provided, and there are usually a couple of inflatable beach or pool toys around.

. Upstairs there is an enormous private roof terrace of almost 900 sq. ft., with two dining areas, shaded sofa seating, sun beds and sea and mountain views. There is a barbecue and cushion storage, in the unlikely event of rain. The large communal gardens contain two huge swimming pools and shower, toilet and changing facilities.
We spend some time every year living in our Spanish properties, so they are real homes, fully equipped in every way, and not just rental units.
The Andalucia region
The Costa del Sol has the sunniest climate in Europe, and is the number 1 holiday destination for British and Scandinavian holidaymakers. There are many towns and villages to visit, and the beach facilities are second to none.
Tarifa, Europe's top windsurfing location, is only half an hour's drive, and just beyond there you will find Bolonia, the site of a well-preserved Roman city. From Tarifa you can also take the fast ferry (30 minutes) to Tangier, if you would like to spend a day in Africa. Visas are not required for Brits.
Behind the coast there are beautiful "White Villages" and spectacular mountain scenery. Estepona is a bustling town with good shopping , restaurants, bars etcetera, and Sun Beach is surrounded with golf courses. This stretch of the coast is known as the new Golden Mile, and has more 5-star hotels than Marbella.
Sun beach is 200 metres from the beach, and is a very child-friendly place. If you walk to the beach you can find beach bars and restaurants both to the left and the right Selwo safari park is only 5 minutes' drive away. there are riding stables nearby, and the Mijas Aquapark and Tivoli World are both 40 minutes away.
If you walk across the footbridge at the top of the road (2 minutes), you'll find the pueblo of La Cancelada. Wander the little streets of the pueblo and you'll find a bakery, two general stores, a health shop a chemist, an ironmonger, a newsagent, an ice-cream parlour, tapas bars and so many fine restaurants you could spend two weeks eating out at a different place every night. 2-minute walk to top class tennis and paddle Villa Padierna Beach Club; 7-minute drive to the famous Puerto Banus Yacht Club, high end shopping centers, restaurants and night life. Bus stops are just in front of Sun Beach urbanization.

"Perfect place to stay in a great location for a chill out holiday"
Have just returned from a weeks holiday with 5 friends, we had the best time. The penthouse appartment is exactly as described. The complex was so quiet and relaxing, beautiful pool area and the roof top area was massive, with fab views. We did not hire a car and did not miss it to be honest, close enough to get a bus to Estepona town, an absolute must, quaint little streets, so picturesque with plazas, and restaurants, pavement cafes around every corner, plus great shopping too and the marina a short walk was good for chill out time and drinks. We spent most of our time on Heaven beach, a short walk ( 10-15 mins) along the top road. Six euros for sun bed hire and a great beach bar, waiter service to your sun lounger, every day a different band on, suited us perfectly. We ate in some nites, BBQ in roof top terrace, or went to Cancelada and had some superb meals, very reasonably priced, really top standard fayre, we were all very impressed.We did go into Puerto Banus shopping, and for an evening, but we actually preferred Estepona, We used malaga mini bus hire from airport, less than 200 euros and was spot on, there to pick us up and on time to take us back. I cannot fault anything and if had to look for a negative, would maybe replenish towels as with 6 people wasn't quite enough though we had washing facilities so just did that.. Stairs to penthouse may not suit anyone with walking problems. Other than that could not want anything more. Had good communications with the owners. Would recommend.

"Great apartment - good facilities & location - spotless and the reef terrace and air con are a real boon."
This is the third time we've stayed at the apartment - Two adults and a 17 and 14 year old. Ticks every box, reasonable price, good swimming pool - much bigger than most private villas, The roof terrace and various balconies are great for private sunbathing , or just having a few minutes relaxing/reading. Sky & UK TV is useful when taking a bit of time out from the sun. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance in Cancelada, Itapu being a favourite. You can turn right on the beach to the nearest Chiringuito ( beach bar) or left and after 300-400 yds on a paved walkway find two others. Selwo is a good (very local) day out and we also enjoyed the cable cars at Benalmedena. Funny Beach near Marbella has great watersports and the sea front at San Pedro de Alcantara has a variety of bars/reataurants/shops with free parking , a new promenade and very easy beach access. The Super super market ( just before the Mercadona) is just right- easy to get around and with a very good selection. Excellent holiday venue.

"Not quite as expected"
Although communication with the owners was a pleasant experience, very friendly and helpful, I am sorry to say that the apartment did not live up to what we expected from the photos or other reviews! We just felt that most things in the apartment were tired and in need of an update. Kitchen very small, plenty of equipment but most of it was very 'used' and we felt in some cases needed replacing. Some of the bathroom and beach towels were old and worn out and we had to buy our own. Black out curtains were missing in some of the bedrooms and the ones that were there had broken away from the rail. Rugs on the floor were not very clean. The apartment block had very little sound proofing and we could hear constant noise of doors closing, children running around and were even kept awake one night by someone on the ground floor hammering (apparently constructing bunk beds, at midnight??) To reach this apartment you have to climb 3 flights of stairs (not suitable for the elderly as there is no elevator) and to reach the rooftop terrace which is totally separate from the rest of the apartment there is yet another 2 flights of stairs. The top terrace has been somewhat neglected, dead plants, dirty bbq and just generally tatty! Great sunsets though! The location is quite good however with restaurants and bars within walking distance (10 mins) The beach is also a 10 minute walk but not the best beach in the area. The nearest supermarket is a 7 minute drive so about a 25 minute walk. Nice pool but no sunbeds, we had to carry down the sunbeds from the apartment which was great exercise for hubby!! School holidays so lots of un-supervised children making a lot of noise but suppose that was to be expected. Sorry that this review is so negative but we were sadly very disappointed with our experience of this apartment.
