The apartment is situated within the popular urbanisation El Faro, and takes its name from the port lighthouse close by. The exterior of the urbanisation has recently been completely repainted (finished May 2013), making it one of the most attractive urbanisations in the Marina itself. There is direct access from the pool area to the newly paved walkway around the lighthouse, with seating, pagodas and fantastic views over the marina, The apartment has a balcony directly overlooking the pool area, ligthhouse and has great sea views. Both bedrooms and lounge areas benefit from air conditioning (summer/winter). There is a bright lounge/dining area with sofas and dining table for 6 and satellite TV / DVD. The kitchen is comprehensively fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, full oven and grill.
Beneath the apartment complex is secure parking with a reserved parking space.

The apartment is tastefully decorated and has marble floors throughout. The master bedroom is en suite and within the beautifully finished bathroom is a hand wash basin, bidet, toilet and bath with overhead shower. The second bathroom is also finished to an excpetionally high standard with a hand wash basin, toilet and large shower cubical. All linen and towels are included (except beach towels). A travel cot is available upon request at no extra charge(no linen provided for the travel cot). Electricity is included within the price quoted. The apartment has its own reserved secure underground parking space with lift access and stairs.
In the interests of all our guests smoking is not permitted within the apartment. However you are welcome to smoke on the balcony.

There is a shared communal pool which is cleaned daily. The pool is surrounded by attractive plants, tropical flowers and trees. There is a new heladería (icecream parlour) close to the pool exit where you can also enjoy coffee and crepes, whilst taking in the views.
A complimentary welcome pack is provided making the start of your holiday a little bit easier including tea, coffee, milk, bottled water, bread and wine.
A mid rental clean can be arranged and this is payable locally at 12 euros per hour.
The Costa del Sol region
The marina of Estepona is one of the most sought after locations for holidaymakers when visiting Estepona, with an abundance of restaurants and bars. The apartment is just a stones throw from the marina. There are also two supermarkets within a two minute walk of the apartment, OpenCor and Supersol. The town centre is a 10 minute stroll away from the apartment and is still unique in retaining its Spanish heritage with pretty plazas. In addition to this, Estepona has 2 main beaches, both with Blue Flag status. La Rada Beach is only 200metres from the apartment and is more than 1 km long. El Cristo Beach is a small bay approximately 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Both beaches have Chiringuitos (beach bars and restaurants) and lifeguards in season.
The Bull Ring of Estepona is situated behind the urbanisation, and although there are no longer bull fights there, there is a museum with free admission.
The apartment is an ideal location for playing golf with the following courses in the vicinity - Estepona, Valderrama, La Duquesa, Sotogrande.
The Selwo Adventure Park is a great day out and only a 10 minute drive away. Gibraltar is 30 minutes drive away, where you can go on a tour of the rock and see the famous apes - or enjoy the tax free shopping!!! The sophisticated resorts of Puerto Banus & Marbella are a 15/20 minute drive away with its new harbour, great shops and ideal for people watching!! Ronda is an hours drive away with spectacular views - well worth a visit.
Selwo Marina is 50 minutes away at Benalmadena – The park is quite small however there are dolphin & sea lions shows.
Istán is approximately 45 minutes away. The village is beneath the Sierra Blanca at the head of the valley of the rio Verde. Istán's streets are extremely narrow. The only sensible way to experience it is on foot. There is a free public car park as you enter into Istán.
As you walk through the village you constantly hear the sound of water running from its drinking fountains. Istán stands close to the huge reservoir created by the Presa de la Concepción dam, which was built in 1972. The water feeding Istán's fountains, however, is pure, and of the unprocessed mountain variety which was much prized long before the coming of the dam.
There is a small hilly rise to the west of the village set in a park where you have good views of the village and spectacular views of the Sierra Blanca and lake.
Casares is a picture postcard village which is well worth a visit. It takes approximately 30 minutes to drive there along a mountain road. As you turn a bend you have a spectacular view to your left of the village. There is a restaurant here, La Terraza where you can park your car and take one of the footpaths down into the village. If you miss this restaurant there are other bars a little further along where you can park.
Alhambra in Granada, is definitely worth a visit, if you have the time. It will take you a little over 2 hours to get there by car. It can be done in a day, however I would recommend you leave Estepona early morning. You need to leave yourselves at least 3 hours to walk around Alhambra. Please note you have to purchase tickets to enter, prior to going (via the internet) do not just turn up on the day. When we went we arranged to stay overnight in a hotel close to Alhambra and went into Alhambra early the following day.
