Beautifully built, high quality 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, situated at the heart of the Costa Galera complex on the border of Estepona, the New Golden Mile. Albayt Country Club is the jewel of the resort, providing spa and restaurant services to the residents and visitors alike.
The first thing you will notice on arrival is the abundance of sunshine. In fact, 320+ days of the bright stuff. Couple that with the relaxed Spanish/Mediterranean lifestyle, great food, great night life, golf galore, and the warmth of the people and you have begun to mix the basic ingredients of a fantastic holiday.
The resort is set in a fantastic location, whereby you are only 20 minutes from Marbella (party central for the millionaires amongst you), 35 minutes away from the southern ports if you fancy a day trip to Morocco and if you really want to push, a couple of hours from the Sierra Nevada mountains for some ski-ing.
The high quality, high spec apartment aside, the complex itself boasts several communal pools that are available for open use. The largest of these (an adjoined set, one for adults and one for children) also offers a poolside bar.
And the best part of that is... that it is located right on the doorstep of the apartment!

We have furnished the apartment with a beautiful, modern, square (wooden) coffee table and a dining table to suit all tastes. All pictures have been updated.
Regardless of the pool being a few steps away , the apartment itself is in a very quiet area. It has access to the apartments north facing garden, a north facing patio area and very beautiful views. From the garden you have partial sea views and fairly clear mountain views.
Please note: wifi access, gym, sauna, golf driving and paddle tennis facilities are also available at the Country Club. (Wifi access is free, all other facilities require payment)

The Costa del Sol region


Costa Galera is situated between Estepona and Puerto de La Duquesa, both only about 4km away. The beautiful town of Marbella (great for shopping with its many boutiques and cafe's) and the famous exquisite Puerto Banus (great for a nights entertainment) are only 20 minutes away by car.
One of the most touted facts about the Costa del Sol (sol meaning sun) is its mild weather. Indeed it is very well known for it, making the Costa del Sol an ideal destination for holiday makers throughout summer and winter months. The coastline here is sheltered by hills and high mountains allowing for a kind of micro climate. This limits rainfall, and as a result the region enjoys sunshine for in excess of 320 days per year.
The sun is at its hottest during the summer months, with temperatures rarely falling below 30°C (86°F). Whereas the typically very mild winters, boast daily highs of around 20°C (64°F). At night the low rarely falls below 10°C.

Estepona
Running as a fishing town, (you can still see the boats come in at 5am and unload their catch), it manages to combine being a popular tourist destination whilst still retaining its traditional Spanish charm. It has not been overdeveloped yet can accommodate your holiday needs.
Costa Galera
Costa Galera has 8 communal swimming pools. Two of the swimming pools have Bars (Chiringuito's). These have both hot & cold food and drinks. On the complex there are tennis courts, a golf driving range and practise course and children’s playground. All of these are set within the beautiful gardens of Costa Galera.
Located within Costa Galera is the Albayt clubhouse which features an indoor heated pool, thermal bath, sauna, Turkish bath and a health spa. There is also a fully equipped gymnasium with a range of classes. Dine at the restaurant which overlooks the golf course or make use of the other on-site facilities such as internet access, email and fax services. As if this is not enough the lovely beaches are only a five minute walk away. Also available within a few minutes walking is a English supermarket.

There are a number of ways to get to Estepona.
If you you choose to fly, you have an option of a number of airports serving southern Spain. The most convenient of these are Malaga and Gibralter which are located approx 50 mins and 25 mins (respectively) drive time from the apartment.
There is a ferry port at Algeciras (30 mins) which serves as connection point to both Africa and other Mediterranean locations.
The rail network across southern Spain will take you as far Fuengirola. From here, you will either need to hire a car, catch a taxi or take the bus to Estepona.
Getting around without a car, whilst not impossible, can be very difficult across southern Spain, so hiring one is highly recommended.

"This apartment is lovely; clean, modern, well-furnished and very spacious. There were 3 adults and 2 children in our group and there was plenty of room for us all and all our paraphanalia! The complex itself is lovely, you have access to several pools so you can pick and choose, and none of them was too busy. The children's pool especially was brilliant; large, shallow and very clean with the bar right next door. The gardens are well cared for, and there is a small play area for children with a slide and see-saw. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and if you need any assistance the country club staff are there.
There is also night-time security on the complex. The owner of this apartment has been extremely helpful and friendly, answering all e-mail promptly and offering extra advice and assistance. Overall the booking has been a very smooth, trouble-free transaction all round, and we've had a fabulous holiday in the apartment."
