Further details

We ask for a non refundable 25% deposit when you book and also a damage deposit of €150 which is refundable on receipt of the keys and confirmation all is in order at the property.

The steep stone stairs make the property unsuitable for young children, as does the fact the front door opens directly onto the street. It is also a non smoking house. It has been in our family for over 30 years and is in a very Spanish area.

Our neighbours are all Spanish, many having lived there for generations and it is greatly appreciated that our guests are aware of this and avoid noisy parties outdoors late at night.

The Andalucia region

Estepona is situated at the point at which a lot of the development of the Costa del Sol lessens and gives way to mountains and beautiful beaches. Being so close to North Africa, the climate is hot, especially in July and August. Spring and autumn provide the best conditions with many hours of warm sunshine and cooler nights.

As previously mentioned it is easy to get to places of interest such as the Moorish influenced white towns, Gibraltar and Chorro gorge. The tourist information centre is at the bottom of the road towards the sea front.

The old town has retained a lot of its original charm yet also possesses the full range of modern facilities and many local shops and bars and restaurants. Like the rest of Spain there are various fiestas, with parades and festivals at Xmas and Easter and more recently has hosted a jazz festival at the local bullring.

At the centre of the old town is plaza de Flores, a beautiful square with orange trees scenting the air. There is a variety of bars and restaurants here but a wander into the cobbled side streets reveal busy and lively bars and cafes too.

"Idyllic Tradional Spanish House Full of Charm"

What a fabulous holiday home, full of charm, location is perfect, only about a 4-5 minute stroll to the fabulous beaches and beach bars. Taps bars all within 2 minute stroll,
The house is well stocked with all you need. ( the only pont my partner made was not being able to watch local televison.)
Thank you for a great holiday, looking for forward to the next one we have booked.

Thank you for great feedback....we can now report we have recently resolved the tv issue. You can now receive local programmes as well as a variety of digital prorammes some of which are transmitted in English.

"The real Spain!"

We stayed for three weeks in this lovely, typically Spanish town house. It is very well equipped and most comfortable. We were joined by our friends for the last week and had a wonderful holiday. We were very lucky with the weather and spent many hours sitting in one of the two outdoor areas. Estepona is full of tapas bars and we couldn't believe how cheap they were. We celebrated our friend's birthday out there and he took us to Robbies. What an amazing restaurant! If you like OTT decoration (as we do) this is the place for you. Great ambience and superb cooking. We cannot thank the owner of 23 Calle Chorro enough. She was so very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. This is a must go place.

Thank you for a lovely review.....its keeping us on our toes !

This is such a glowing and comprehensive review.... Im incredibly appreciative not only of the time and trouble taken to write it but also of the fact that the family loved our house and the area.

"23 Calle del Chorro: Charming old town house in Estepona"

The cold summer in Norway makes us long for Estepona, the wonderful place with blue skies, a long beach and a charming old town. We were lucky enough to stay there for ten days last May, in a lovely old townhouse at 23 Calle del Chorro.

We can't recommend this house enough; it's very charming, contains everything you need and a rooster wakes you up in the morning. And Cathy, the hostess, is so helpful and kind! She even made sure to send us the bus routes before we arrived.

We can't wait to be back one day!

"Wonderful location"

We stayed at Chorro for 12 nights at the beginning of June 2012. The townhouse was very clean, comfortable and on a lovely quiet street - a real home from home. The location was just perfect, so close to the many bars and restaurants. The beach is also only a few minutes stroll away.
