About the home

La Resina Golf is a new holiday complex of luxury apartments overlooking the golf course, located just two minutes’ drive from the beach, on the outskirts of Estepona. Quiet and peaceful, yet only ten minutes from the larger resorts such as Puerta Banus and Marbella, the apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

The complex is small and benefits from three swimming pools, including a todlers pool. Going out from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning views to the golf course and the sea. Furnished with a table and chairs and BBQ to enable you to dine al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom, the apartment is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. There a 9 hole golf course, putting green and practice area all suitable for beginners.

The apartment has been tastefully fitted out for 6 people and the beautiful ceramic floor has luxurious underfloor heating for each bathroom.

The master bedroom has a separate dressing area and space is not a proplem is this large sunny flat. There is lots of room to lounge around playing games or listening to music on the IPOD station.

The apartment has its own underground garage, for safety and to keep the car cool, and there is a lift from the garage to the apartment door.

The terrace looks out over the golf course to the sea beyond, and is large enough to accommodate a BBQ and table and chairs for 6 people and a couple of sun loungers. The master bedroom and the lounge open out on to the terrace, which has sun from early morning until early evening, but also has a covered area for anyone who prefers the shade.

The closest pool to the apartment is only 25 metres away and it is beautifully set in tropical gardens, overlooking the magnificent Selwo Nature Reserve. The other two pools are just a minute away and one is ideal for toddlers or children who are unable to swim. All the pools are surrounded by large lawns for sunbathing , and toilet facilities are provided.

Heaven Beach and Bar

The Costa del Sol region

Sitting comfortably between the sea and the mountains, the Costa del Sol (sunshine coast) has over 300 days of sunshine a year. July and August can reach 40 degrees during the day, while the months of May, June, September and October offer a pleasant heat to suntan in the long sunny days. Even in winter the sunshine can be warm enough to sit outside and put on some cream - and the flights and rents are cheaper!

La Resina is close to so many places to visit. San Pedro is full of old style shops and tapas bars and Puerto Banus and Marbella just 10-15 minutes way. Be sure to visit Benahavais and make time for a meal in one of its many restaurants. A gastronomic festival is usually held in June, and a village fair in mid August.

A 30 minute drive will take you to Gibraltar to ride on the cable car and see the apes. There is duty free shopping as well, but don't forget your passport!

The Costa del Sol has something for everyone, beaches, mountains, hiking, theme parks, night life, various cuisine, history, culture, numerous street markets and plenty of Golf. Great for a romantic break or a family holiday – you can be as active or as relaxed as you wish.

Estapona Fair is normally the first or second week in July, and other town and villages have various fiestas throughout the summer.

The Estepona / Selwo area

Estepona is 5 minutes away by car and this bustling seaside town offers a busy beach with a wonderful long promenade with special play facilities for children There are many opportunities to eat and drink at your leisure and, when you are ready, you can shop in the local town where you will find everything from small local shops to designer clothes outlets. There is a street maket in the town every Wednesday from 9am to 2pm and a smaller one in the port on Sunday mornings which has a wonderful atmosphere.

Selwo Wildlife and Adventure Park, which is our back door, is open daily and is a three minute drive. It takes about four hours to go around. For children or just the young at heart, there is Aquapark in Torremolinos and Parque Acuatico in Fuengirola.

La Resina Golf is situated between the towns of San Pedro and Estepona, on a small development beside the golf course. From Malaga airport by road will take around 45 minutes. From Gibraltar airport, the journey takes about 35 minutes. Full directions will be provided, although taxis are readily available if you do not wish to drive. Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch, Thomson Fly, BMI Baby and Jet 2 all fly into Malaga. A new airline called Fly Gibraltar will soon commence flights from 8 UK airports into Gibraltar.
