This spacious garden apartment is situated within the Albayt Resort ( Costa Galera Country Club). It has three bedrooms each with fitted wardrobes, and as an added advantage, there is a double sofa bed in the lounge. There are two good quality bathrooms. There is a separte fully equipped kitchen. The lounge has good furnishings, a table and 6 dining chairs. The lounge has patio doors opening onto a terrace, with a glass table and four chairs, and a small private garden. The front entrance to the apartment is at ground level, and the apartment itself is all on one level.
The resort has 8 communal pools set in communal grounds (loungers available). There are also 2 pool bars, and a children's play area on the resort. The Club House has a restuarant with a large alfresco terrace, a health spa, gym and an indoor pool. There is a larger outdoor pool, tennis courts, and a practise golf course.

The apartment is within easy reach of over 30 golf courses, several being of championship standard. Nearby Estepona is good for shopping, restaurants and markets. There is an extensive yet quiet beach within walking distance from which there are distant views of Gibraltar. There is a minimarket just a five minute walk away, and the nearest supermarket is a five minute drive.

Further details
25% deposit required to secure booking. (non refundable). Final payment 8 weeks before occupation. If less than 6 weeks full payment is required at time of booking.
Security deposit of £150 against breakages and damage etc. Refundable after inspection.
All guests must have adequate Holiday Insurance to cover the whole rental period against all eventualities.
Apartment cleaned at beginning and end of stay.
Linen and towels included (NOT beach and pool towels). A change of linen and towels will be provided for a second week, without extra charge. Other laundry or cleaning must be paid for by guests.
No smoking except in garden. No candles indoors.
Conditions
We will consider longer term lets (1 month or more) prices can be negotiated. We will also discount for 2 person occupancy except in high season. Short breaks in low season only.

The Costa del Sol region


The Costa del Sol, one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the world, both for its natural beauty and infrastructure that covers the whole of the Malaga coast. It has good weather all year round with over 300 days of sunshine.
There are around 70 golf courses, including the world famous Valderrama and Sotogrande. There are a range of other activities such as scuba diving and sailing.
The Estepona / Albayt Costa Galera Country Club area
Estepona is a great tourist spot on the Costa del Sol which lies between the mountains and the sea. There is a wealth of shops & restaurants to choose from along with several archaeological sites, including mud baths, from Roman times, to visit. There is an annual festival between 3rd and 10th of July.
Fiesta de San Juan (Feast of St John) 23rd June. Estepona's seafront promenade runs the full length of the town and is flanked by palm trees and flowers. The beach front of Estepona stretches for many kilometres, and is mainly sandy. Some parts have been awarded European Blue Flags.

Estepona Golf Club is just a short distance from the property. It is situated on the inland side of the main coastal road (N340) just one mile from Estepona town centre. The course is set against the Sierra Bermja mountain range, and enjoys sea views from most parts of the course. The fairways are wide and the greens are large, which provides a challenge to players of all levels.
Estepona Port and Marina is situated at the west end of the seafront promenade. It is a very pleasant place for a stroll, and there are a wide variety of bars and restaurants. It is a working fishing port and has daily auctions for a variety of seafood.
Eating out. Estepona is not known for the "night club" culture of some areas of the Costa del Sol, but it does have a wide variety of restaurants and bars. Many have terraces for eating outside during the late evening. Many also have multilingual menus. There are some fast food restaurants.
Shopping. Small local shops offer locally made products, and the town centre has a number of boutiques. There is a very good Wednesday market featuring clothes as well as food and vegetables. Estepona Port has a Sunday market for the more "touristy" type of goods.
Food Shops. The main food store in Estepona is the large Carrefour complex on the edge of the town. A small Carrefoure Express store is in the middle of the town, and there are a number of Mercadona supermarkets. There is a small supermarket within walking distance of the property.
Places of interest.
Gibraltar. About a 40 minite drive from Estepona, Gibraltar offers duty free shopping of electrical goods to jewellery and perfume. Other attractions are St Michael's Caves, and of course the Barbary apes, the only free-to-roam primates in Europe.
Ronda. Just north of Estepona is Ronda, which is famous for its gorge. A small river passes through the town, dividing it in two with a ravine 100 metres deep. There are plenty of souvenir shops.

Gibraltar Airport is the nearest international airport. It is about 40 kms away, just before reaching Estepona. Malaga Airport is the next neareast international airport and is approximately 80kms away.
There is a fast toll road from Malaga, the AP7(autopista). Drive to just beyond Estepona. Car hire is available from Malaga Airport, and from La Linea (Gibraltar). The N340 runs from La Linea to Malaga.

Just to let you know we have had a great time. Your apartment is really nice and was just brilliant for us! We travelled to Puerto de Quesa quite a lot. It is very nice there, just like Puerto Banus but without the hustle and bustle and major expense. C.G. August 2009.
