Estepona apt. with pool
About the home
This very spacious one bedroom apartment is situated overlooking the old fishing and leisure port of Estepona. All the port facilities:- supermarkets, bars, newsagents, reataurants etc. are all less than 100 yards away.
The gently sloping sandy beach with lifeguard and 2 bars is about 500yds to the right, (see picture), and the town centre is a 10 minute stroll along the seafront.
The kitchen is modern with all white goods, and the bathroom has also been recently re-furbished.
The bedroom has matching large twin beds, and there is a sofabed in the living room. We have British satellite T.V.,and all the bedding etc. is provided.
There is a large balcony with a seaview, which is ideal for eating alfresco, and there is even a large selection of books!
We can provide a cot on request.
The apartment has hot and cold air-conditioning, and there is a flame effect fire for winter visits.
We also own a private car parking space in the underground carpark.

This is a perfectly positioned apartment. Near to the town, but not in it, and overlooking the port.
The beach is just 500yds to the right, and it has two beach bars, showers, and a lifguard. It's very good for children as it is very shallow a long way out.
The building and gardens are beautifully maintained, and we have private parking.

There are two well maintaned swimming pools for the residents only. One is waist high, and the other is a deep pool.
They are very peaceful, I have never seen more than 6 people using them at once.

We don't mind when you leave or arrive, as long as it's available. Mid-week flights are often cheaper.
We like gaps, because then we can get nip out for a few days ourselves!

We have no special booking requirements except that we have to make sure it's available first!

The Costa del Sol region


The Costa del Sol is the Coast of Sun, also known as the Costa del Golf,-no translation needed!
Very close to the old 'white villages', the fleshpots of Puerto Banus, and Marbella. Gibraltar is very interesting and tax free, and Africa is a short ferry ride away. There are many aquaparks in the area, Dolphin spotting trips and nature parks.
The Estepona / Estepona Puerto/Marina area
Estepona is primarily a fishing village, but it has embraced the tourist without losing it's Spanish soul.
Whatever you desire can be found in this area. You can 'chill out' on the beach, go shopping, eat out in a variety of retaurants, swin with dolphins, visit Africa, or just go exploring.
The apartment is very spacious, clean and welcoming and of a very high standard.
The view of the port from the balcony is just stunning.
Both pools are very clean, but not too busy - often you can have the pool to yourselves!
The local supermarket was just over the road, and was very reasonable.
Try the local restaurants, and enjoy a lovely stroll along the promenade to Estepona old town, and then stop for tapas in the picturesque square.
The apartment is in an excellent location, near lots of local restaurants and bars, and just a couple of minutes walk to two lovely beaches, but it is also in a great postion to travel further afield.
The apartment is about a 10 min walk to the bus station, where you can catch the bus to Gibraltar, and also to Puerto Banus if you haven't hired a car.
The trip to Gibraltar takes about an hour. You actually get off in Spain and then walk over the border across the runway - quite an experience! In Gib.you can go up the cable car to the top of the rock to see the apes ( great views - highly recommend) and also book a boat trip to see the dolphins (another 'must do'). Don't be tempted to book a combined trip at the booth on the Spanish border, claiming it's your last chance to book, as it is more expensive-it costs 105 Euros, but you can do both trips for about 75 Euros when we got to Gibraltar. Another great day out is to Selwo Safari Park in Estepona. Get a taxi as there's no local bus that goes direct- takes about 10-15 minutes-cost about 10 euros each way. However, if you pick up a discount voucher leaflet at the airport then the money you save for the entry fee could more or less cover the taxi fare-another highly recommended day out.

Fly to either Gibraltar or Malaga or Jerez. Our prefence is Gibraltar as it's so easy, and slightly nearer, -about 40 minutes drive whereas Malaga is about 55 minutes away. There are more flights to Malaga though, and they are usually cheaper.
We usually hire a car via doyouspain.com, which we find is the cheapest, or else we can advise on airport transfers.
