The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol west of Estepona is still relatively undeveloped, resulting in open countryside, uncrowded beaches and a relaxed pace of life.
Casares region, and its coastal village - Sabinillas - lies about 6Kms west of Estepona, and 10 Kms east of Sotogrande on the CN 340. It is half-way between Marbella and Gibraltar. Marbella and Puerto Banus are about 30 minutes drive. Renowned as one of Spain's 'white villages', the Casares area stretches from the coast into the mountains, and apart from the coastal strip is rugged and unspoilt.
The nearest town to the apartment is Sabinillas and this has a good collection of shops for 'everyday' needs (including 3 supermarkets) . High fashion and designer boutiques abound in Puerto Banus and Marbella (25/30 minutes), Open-air markets are extremely popular, most mornings. The best of them are: Puerto Banus (Saturday); Sabinillas (Sunday morning); Sotogrande (Sunday afternoon); Estepona (Wednesday), Fuengirola (Tuesday & Saturday)
The Costa del Sol is renowned for golf and is a Golfer's Paradise A fabulous year round climate, over 30 high quality courses on this stretch of coast, including some of the most beautifully landscaped in the world. The Costa del Sol is the number one golfing destination in Europe. You have two courses within a 5 mins drive of the apartment. These are Estepona Golf, and the 18 hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones at La Duquesa which enjoys panoramic views over the marina and coastline. San Roque Golf Club is about 20 mins away, as is Valderrama which is the top rated course in continental Europe.
Estepona / Terrazas de la Bahia Casares area
“The Hanging Village” of Casares, perched on the side of a mountain, is a 20 mins drive away and shouldn't be missed. There are plenty of other places to visit, and for a days outing drive to the magnificent ancient city of Ronda about 45 minutes away plus the historic towns of Cadiz, Grenada and Seville.
The rock of Gibraltar is visible from our terrace and can be reached within 30 mins, a great day out and its duty free shopping! Driving south towards the Atlantic coast there is Tarifa, a surfer’s paradise and only 50 mins away. From here you can take the fast ferry to Morocco, a 45 mins crossing. For children there are the superb water parks at Mijas and Algerciras, the Tivoli Gardens at Benalmadena, the Selwo Safari park near Estepona and the Funny Beach towards Fuengirola , to name but a few.
How to get there
Flights with from most Airports to Malaga, which is then just a 50 minute drive to the apartment along the coastal motorway.
Alturnatively there are regular flights into Gibralter (30 minutes away) and Jerez (approximately 90 minutes away).

There is an additional £30 pounds charge per week, or £5 per day, if air-conditioning or heating is required.
An additional charge for cleaning the apartment facilities on departure together with the laundry of bed linen and towels will be made. This will be £60 for a booking of upto two people and £75 when three or more are booked into the apartment. Where bookings are for periods of more than seven days, bed linen and towels will be changed and laundered at a cost of £10 per occupied bedroom, after each seven day period. All payments can be made in either £ Sterling or Euros and can be made either by cheque, Banker's draft, or by direct transfer into our English or Spanish bank accounts (details provided on request). In the event of a cancellation of booking, notice has to be received in writing by the owners. Cancellation fees are; 0 - 60 days notice - Full rental Cost, 61 - 120 days notice - 50% of Rental Cost, 121+ Days Booking Deposit. You are strongly recommended to take out adequate Travel insurance to cover cancellation, sickness etc
