Veramar Apartment is situated with direct access to the famous Playa Christo beach with its two relaxing beach bars and is a pleasant ten minute stroll to Estepona Marina with its variety of waterside bars, excellent restaurants, mini supermarket and buzzing Sunday market. A further twenty minute walk along the promenade will bring you to Estepona old town which retains its traditional Spanish culture with pavement cafes, shops and typically Spanish restaurants.
The accommodation is furnished to a high standard and consists of a master bedroom with super king size bed (can be converted to two singles) and en-suite bathroom, twin bedroom with bathroom adjacent, large lounge with adjoning dining area, fully fitted kitchen with further dining area and south west facing balcony overlooking the sea with stunning views to Gibraltar and North Africa.
The apartment can sleep up to five and is ideal for families or two couples. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped with everything you will need including air conditioning/heating, linen, towels (including beach towels), washing machine, tumble drier and sunbeds for the pool area.
If you are looking for a restful holiday then car hire is not necessary as all amenities and facilities are within easy walking distance. If you do hire a car then there is a secure gated parking area.
This is a great base for relaxing by the private pool or beach, playing golf or investigating the surrounding area whether it is Gibraltar, Puerto Banus, Ronda or other locations in Andalucia.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol is renowned for its climate with around 300 days of sunshine per year. There are a variety of differing towns in the Malaga coastal region with Estepona being one of the more traditional retaining its Spanish culture.
The Costa del Sol caters for all age groups and there is plenty for everyone to do whether you want to visit the Theme, Water or Safari Parks, take in some horse riding or fishing, enjoy a round of golf on one of the numerous golf courses or visit one of the surrounding historic mountain villages like Benahavis, Casares or Ronda for a spot of sightseeing and lunch.
In the winter months in less than two hours you could also be skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
One of the most popular areas is Puerto Banus, just 15 km from Estepona, where there are a large number of top class designer boutiques and shops, restaurants and bars offering every type of cuisine. Puerto Banus is a great place to take a coffee and watch the world go by whilst doing a bit of celebrity spotting.
Estepona is still mainly a traditional Spanish town and the pedestrianised town centre retains much of its original charm evidenced by the tapas bars, restaurants and shops. The town centre is a liesurely thirty minute walk from the apartment past the Marina and along the beautiful promenade.
The Marina area is also served very well by a wide variety of excellent restaurants and bars (only a ten minute walk from the apartment).
From Estepona it is possible to visit the beautiful towns of Seville, Jerez, Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada and many others where the Moorish influence can be seen in the architecture of the buildings, etc.
Activities such as sailing, fishing, tennis, diving and water parks for children are also easily accessible from Estepona.

"A Wonderful Apartment in Estepona"
In the past, we have stayed in several other apartments in Estepona and the Costa Del Sol-but NONE of them has matched the Veremar Apartment.
For a very fair price we got absolutely everything we wanted. The apartment is very spacious, spotless, very well-furnished, and everything worked. It offered everything we needed. There are superb views from the balcony. Lazing there every evening with a nice little drink as the sun went down was truly, truly satisfying...then we hit the town.
Veremar has superb gardens and an excellent pool. The owners supplied everything we needed-beach towels, loungers etc. And the super beach is only a few metres away, accessed by a private gate from the apartment gardens. A minute or two along the beach are a couple of pretty good beach bars offering ice cold drinks and delicious snacks and meals.
Estepona's marina is only a few minutes away and has an excellent array of restaurants-all of the ones we tried were excellent. The old town in Estepona is a little bit further-we enjoyed walking there and soaking up the atmosphere. If you're not mad on walking, there's still no need for a car here-taxis are cheap and the distances short.
We had an excellent time in the Veremar Apartment. The proof of the pudding is whether one would go back to the same place. Well, we definitely will and we have already started the booking process for next year.

The location of the apartment is excellent, right on a very good sandy beach and lovely sea views from the balcony. The space is very good too, a very large kitchen and good size master bedroom and the living/dining area was also a good size. On this alone I would give it the high scoring.
There were a few issues though with the apartment. As the other review, the bathrooms require updating especially the smallest bathroom, which we used as a spare loo only the shower was a bit on the small side. We didn't like the fact that the bathrooms had shower curtains, they are not very hygenic and they stick to you, shower screens are loads better. We also found the 2 of the 3 wardrobes locked up in the master bedroom, thus not a lot of space for clothes for a party of more than 2. We also found the a/c didn't work very well, we had to replace batteries the usual, but the remote control still was a bit iffy it did work though eventually.
Apart from a few things the apartment is very nice and we liked the direct beach access and walking to the marina at night where we found some very nice restaurants.
I would recommend car hire, you can walk to the marina only 10 minutes and Estepona is a good 30 minutes brisk walk, a nice walk though the promenade is lovely. We found the car useful for food shopping, there is an Aldi and a Spanish supermarket about 3 mins drive away but too far to walk back with shopping, there are supermarkets close to the marina aswell that you can walk to but the usual more expensive for convenience.
I would consider staying at the apartment again, especially if it is updated/renovated in the near future.
