About the home

With it's communal gym, in -door heated swimming pool, Sauna and steam facilities. Wi-Fi in the apartment and computer / internet access in the main buildin. Mar Azul is a beautiful and beautifully looked after apartment complex with it's beach front location next to Kempinski Hotel, Laguna Village and Puro Beach. Surrounded by an amazing selection of good cuisine and golf courses all a short drive or walk away. There is twenty four hour security staff who are are based in the main building where there is a communial lounge and terrace that overlooks the 'Asian Water Garden & infinity swimming pool ' and on a clear day you can see Morocco shimmering on the Mediterranean sea in the distance.

The beach gate at the bottom of the Asian Water Garden gives you direct access to the beach and a few minutes walk away is the Kempinski Hotel and all of it's water sports and Laguna Village full of designer boutiques, shops, bars cafe's restaurants and Puro beach, here you can go for a sunbathe on one of the beach beds or just visit for a drink or meal and soak up the atmosphere.

We have just had Wi Fi connected so you can now get the internet in our apartment during your stay with us!

The apartment is furnished and equipped to provide you with a luxurious home from home experience, by providing all the utilities required for the perfect holiday and being clean and comfortable. We provide stylish place settings for 12 people, enough to let the dishwasher get full or invite guests to join you!! We have bought the most comfortable top quality mattresses for the kings-size and single beds and for extra comfort we have also provided toppers and bed protectors. Fresh white top and bottom sheets are provided with a winter or summer quilt. An air conditioning system that actually works - for the long hot summer days and if its not so warm heating, no need to worry about the cold marble floors as an under tiles heating system is also provided with individual controls for each room. The marble main bathroom has his and hers sink with heated non-steam mirrors next to the hydro-massage walk in shower and an extra large Jacuzzi bath. The kitchen also reflects the rest of the apartment being integral with granite work tops, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, eye level oven, electric hob with an extractor above and micro wave are all provided and I have even added a breakfast table and four stools for a quick bite to eat before popping out. The iron and ironing board are in the hot water tank cupboard. The lounge has a 32 inch flat screen TV connected to sky and a DVD CD and MP3 player (so bring your ipods! and connectors!). All in front of a large comfortable sofa bed, which can easily be folded back to a sofa during the day time. The windows and sliding doors have mosquito nets fitted. The apartment has two terraces which are covered by the terraces above but means you can use them all year round even when it’s raining it’s a short stroll through the Asian gardens and water features to sunbathe and swim around the infinity poolside .The terrace leading from the lounge has a modern smoked glassed table and six matching chairs for dining out and is the deal size for playing family games which we provide in the apartment for you. The terrace leading out from the main bedroom has a comfortable outside, two seat sofa with two matching arm chairs and a large coffee table this is where when I am staying in the apartment you will find me drinking a glass or two of the local wine and my husband reading the latest novel! Or playing Backgammon together as we are keen players!!

Further details outdoors:
It is hard to describe how amazing the outside area of this complex is. I am going to start from the main entrance and work from Reception to the Beach. Enter the reception area through the glass rotating doors and you will find a haven of cream, gold and pale turquoise tranquility with an indoor water fountain. To your right there is a reception desk with a receptionist and security guard who will be holding your apartment key card.
Just past this area is a stunningly smart lounge and bar area furnished in velvet, silk and deep mahogany which can be for personal use or as a business meeting area, there is a communal computer room adjoining but this might need to be booked in advance.. If you we now return back to the lounge and step out on the sunny terrace from here you will have a picture perfect view of the terracotta complex with it’s stunningly designed Asian water gardens and infinity swimming pool. On a clear day you can see Morocco and the Rock of Gibraltar across the simmering Mediterranean sea. You then walk down some steps and walk though the gardens and water features with stone benches to rest on and stone Asian artwork is dotted all around you. The infinity pool winds around the garden with secluded sunbathing areas and water Jacuzzis a bridge goes over the swimming pool and will take you from one side to the other side of the complex, there are also two sun huts with comfortable seating to relax and play board games in and just by the gates that would take you to the beach is a juice bar only open during high season. If you go through the gates to the beach you can stroll along the sand to the Kempinski Hotel, Lagguna Village and Puro beach. Stroll the other way and you’re a five minute walk to Alcazaba beach which also has a beach restaurant open from Easter to end of September in the more traditional Spanish style open to non residents as well.

It's really hard to express in words how amazing it is to swim in this infinity pool until you have actually done so yourself !!!

THIS IS A NON SMOKING APARTMENT. Smoking is only allowed on the terrace ashtrays are provided.

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times in the communal areas and are not allowed around the swimming pool areas.

Children under the age of 14 have to be supervised around the out door swimming pool.

In-Door heated pool children under the age of 18 must be supervisded by an adult as this is an un staffed area.
Gym No children under the age of 12 and children between 12 and 18 must be supervised by an adult.

Swimming caps are required for the indoor heated pool

Please only park on our designated car parking space number T12 in the under ground car park.

Changeover days flexible prefer Saturday to Saturday during July and August (please see calendar for available dates).

We have a house keeper/managing agent who looks after the apartment and all our guests any problems they are there to help you.

If guests are arriving the same day guests are leaving please vacate apartment by 11.00 hours and if you are arriving you will be able to gain entry into apartment by 16.00 hours local time. These times are flexible the rest of the time and we will confirm entry and departure times nearer the date of your booking.

Conditions

LINEN AND CLEANING
If you are staying in the apartment for one night to seven or eight nights the apartment will be clean and ready for your arrival with beds made up with fresh bed linen a bath towel and hand towel per person as well as a bath mat in each bathroom also two tea towels and an oven glove in the kitchen also an extra black bath size towel per person will be found in the bedroom wardrobe as an extra towel that can double up as a beach towel.

For nine to thirteen night bookings a sur charge of will be added to your invoice to allow you to have a quick mid stay clean and change of linen half way through you holiday, see below for full details of a quick mid stay clean.

If you are staying for two weeks the quick mid stay clean and change of linen will be included in the price.

Beach towels will only be provided once on a two week stay but they can be placed into the apartment washing machine during your stay at any time you wish to wash them during your holiday. In the summer because we use a top and bottom sheet on the beds the quilt covers are not changed until the end of your stay.

You will be informed by email of the date day and time of the quick mid stay clean and change of linen. The house keeper has a set of keys to let herself into the apartment to do the quick mid stay clean and change of linen so it is up to you if you are in the apartment or not when the house keeper arrives. The tidier the apartment the better she can do her mid stay clean.

If the sofa bed is being used the linen and towels will be found neatly folded in the wardrobe of the second bedroom. Quilt and pillows and bed protector will be found in the storage area of the sofa bed.

Cot and high chair hire. Two blue towels will be left out for the baby/ toddler and no white towels. Cot linen is only provided once but can be put into the washing machine and tumble dryer any time during your stay.

Optional extras available free of charge baby bath, changing mat, toddler table and two chairs plus a selection of plastic crockery and cutlery and a hand blender to make baby food.

EXTRAS
We offer a range of extras such as white over sized towelling robes, welcome food shop, airport transfers, cot and high chair hire. Price list will be sent by email when you make your booking.

If you're feeling the beach is fine but not all the time our luxury Estepona apartment offers this with a dollop of socialising, shopping, visiting Puerto Banus for a drink at one of its many bars and restaurants or if the urge takes you having a gamble at the casino or even dancing at one of the many night clubs on offer. Marbella's Orange Square is well worth a visit to do some holiday shopping. Thirty minutes from Gibraltar Airport or one hour from Malaga Airport or two and a half hours from Jerez Airport ideally situated on the beach front next to the Kempinski Hotel, Lagguna Village, Puro Beach and Carrefour’s a five minute drive down the road for all your food supplies. Your also in driving distance to visit many places of interest like Rhonda Gibraltar Tarifia Malaga and Granada to name but a few for the younger kids Selwo Safari Park Crocodile Adventures Tivoli World Acquasplash Dolphin Safari from Gibraltar and Whale watching in Tarifia are just a few of the activities on offer with in driving distance.

“A Gorgeous Apartment” If you are looking for a comfortable, luxury apartment with everything you could need, look no further. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in December and couldn't of wished for a more peaceful place to holiday. Caroline has thought of everything and provides ample information and advice to ensure a great holiday. A wonderful apartment within a lovely complex!

“Brilliant Apartment” We stayed at Caroline's Apartment for the October school holidays, with 12 & 17 year olds. The apartment is as it says on the details, Very clean, tastefully decorated, home from home!(very comfortable beds). We arrived late and the security staff could not have been more helpful, walking us to the underground car park & to the apartment. The complex itself is great, very private, and well maintained, would love to have used the outdoor pool it looked very tempting but the weather was not great ( it was October). Would love to return in the summer to make full use of the swimming pool & beach. We used the resturants at Laguna Village , Camuri was excellent!! Would definately recommend hiring a car for getting out & about . You won't be dissapointed with anything!!

“Fantastic accomodation, every little detail has been thought of and provided.” This holiday was not what we had originally planned as when we booked we had hoped to do a lot of sight seeing . Unfortunatly due to my husband developing Shingles 3 weeks before our departure the holiday became a chance for him to recouperate so we just chilled. The apartment gave us the chance to do this as it became a home from home. Caroline has thought of everything that a couple or family may require what ever the weather. We were very fortunate in that we missed the heavy rain by only days and enjoyed 6 days of sunshine. We are looking forward to when we can return in order to explore the area. The security staff are very friendly and welcoming.

“Fantastic property-fantasic holiday” Stayed at Caroline's apartment at the beginning of August for two weeks. We were very pleased with the accommodation, the resort and the level of expertise and guidance that Caroline has provided us with. The property provided us with adequate air-con (but didnt need it that much as apartment stays cool), two bedrooms, two bathrooms (bath with jacuzzi) and a large dining area with large sitting room with flat screen tv). Also there is outside dining table and chairs and a sitting area outside the bedroom and two further sun loungers. The only thing we were unlucky with was the family above in the second week, they came in quite late, about midnight and took ages going to bed. So you could hear footsteps and seemed to us they were hauling furniture about. But apart from that you didnt hear any noise from any other visitors or the dual carriageway outside. The swimming pool caters for all ages, from the very shallow for babies to the deeper end with the view to the sea. There are steps to the beach but is pebbley and not much beach to sit on but if you turn left you have miles and miles of beach that takes you past Kempinski Hotel and then to Laguna Beach which has many restaurants and a few shops (not too expensive either). Laguna Beach can be reached via the beach but if you didnt want to get your clothes dirty or your feet, the other way is to walk alongside the dual carriageway, it is a bit manic with the cars going by, hopefully they will sort out a proper walkway that extends from Mar Azul all the way to Laguna. The owner has thought of everything, from mini sewing kit to beach hats to games and books for all. It is very easy to relax as it is home from home but with the added benefit of lovely gardens and swimming pool. The staff are very helpful and the food at the beach bar was very yummy....especially the abondigas (meatballs) and pasta and paella. The prices werent too bad considering the portions size but also drinks were fairly priced as well. Also, just to say the lifeguards definately earn their keep, they play with the children but also very hands with keeping unruly children at bay! You will definately need a car to visit this area, Carrefour (supermarket) is about a 10min drive and then Estepona. Estepona is a lovely Spanish seaside resort, lovely beach, the council has provided normal showers (no soap allowed) but there are also white beach huts which you can shower in and get changed if you are going straight into town. Estepona itself has lots of lovely squares and restaurants in every nook and cranny. There are underground parking in Estepona and other villages but its tight and you have to have very good clutch control!!! We absolutely loved this resort and the whole area from sleepy little white house villages to partying in nearby Puerto Banus and Marbella. Looking forward to coming back next year, fingers crossed that Caroline has room for us.

“Great place - coming back” We stayed two weeks in July 2012 in beautiful Mar Azul. We were really impressed with the high quality of the apartment and the condition of the place in general. The staff were really service minded, and the pool was very well maintained with good water quality. I would highly recommend this place for families who are looking for a relaxing vacation, and we will definitely come back.

“Excellant” Have just returned from Carolines apartment in the Mar Azul resort in Estopona. A beautiful spacious hi tech home from home. The complex itself was a little jewel. All the staff were very helpful polite and friendly. The pool area was gorgeous, little areas of privacy and tranquility. We often swam and sunbathed on the beach which was adjacent to the complex as we found it quiet, clean and private. Laguna village was a short 5 minutes walk left of the complex, it had various restaurants, designer shops and a 5 star sunbathing area. To the right of Mar Azul and a 8 euro taxi ride which was organised by reception staff, was Estepona a delightful little town with its large promenade, shops and restaurants. The bus service stopped right outside the complex and ran every half hour in both directions and was so cheap we did not feel the need to hire a car. All in all a fantastic chill out holiday that we could not fault. Everything was top class. I would definately recommend this apartment and complex.

“Our Mar Azul apt was top class accomodation set in tranquil gardens.” Our experience from landing in Malaga airport to arriving at Mar Azul was made very easy and pleasant by the great and precise directions given to us by Caroline. We arrived late in the evening and were given keys and shown to our apartment by a veery pleasant and helpful security person. As it was 11.30 at night were no restaurants open, but pizza delivery was available. The apartment was spotless, there was a gift of a bottle of wine, and some water left in the fridge. The town of Estepona is only a few mins drive away and it was easy to stock up on food and supplies the following day, Sitting by the pool, soaking up the sunshine was a pleasure, the gardens and pools are delightful, and very well maintained. Christopher, my son (11) had a great time with the blow up boat, letting his imagination run riot. He would have liked to have meet more kids his own age. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting Laguna Village and the beach ther e also. We dined there twice during our stay, and were very pleasantly surprised by the service, food and value for money . Loved the shops too! On one of the hotter days, we drove to Tariffa in the south, just about an hour down the AP-7, well worth a visit. Although my husband didnt play golf there were plenty of Golf Courses close by, including Soto-Grande and Valderama. The apt itself was suplied with everything one could need, and i was especially grateful for the decent hairdryer. We ate out on the private terrace every morning, and played one of the many board games every evening by candlelight. All appliances were simple to use, with great instructions in English. There is also plenty of space for storing clothes, and bags. The two bedrooms and bathroms are generous sizes, as is the living/dinning area. We didnt watch television for the whole week, most unusual for my men. Peurta Banus is a simple fifteen minute drive away, and with the new tunnel under San Pedro, we went back and forth often. For us the location and accomodation was tops.

“Fantastic! A real home from home.” Caroline's apartment is absolutely beautiful with everything you could possibly need. The complex is lovely too - clean & tidy and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Whilst the location is a little out if the way, we found it perfect. Ideal for exploring Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona Port/Town and Gibraltor, but allowing you the peace and quiet to relax. All are easily accessible by car/taxi and most by bus at a very reasonable cost. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in fantastic surroundings staying in a beautiful apartment with all the comforts of home, then you won't be disappointed.

“Fabulous apartment, great holiday for a family” The apartment is very luxurious and had everything we needed. Caroline's attention to details, such as board games, books for all ages and pool toys, really made it a great holiday. She was super-organised and very helpful with general advice for our holiday. The outdoor pool is amazing, and you also have the option of a warm indoor pool. There are many activities for families in the ares: we loved Selwo Adventure and Adventure Amazonia. We also had a wonderful day trip to Arcos de la Frontera (beware the windy road back from Ronda if your kids get car sick, the motorway may be a better option).

“Very well equipped and comfortable apartment” We had a lovely holiday and the apartment was perfect for our needs. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and extremely well equipped. We felt at home straight away and our children (age7 and 9) enjoyed some of the DVDs provided on the days that the weather was not so good. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor pools and so the indoor pool was well used and we had it to ourselves most days. We expected mixed weather and one of the reasons we chose the apartment was the availability of the indoor pool. The apartment was in a great spot to explore the Costa del Sol and the reception and security staff were always very helpful and polite. We were grateful to the owner for all of the helpful information which she provided and for ensuring that our holiday home was so well-presented and comfortable. I would be happy to recommend this property to anyone seeking a home-from-home in a good location on the Costa Del Sol.

“Superb modern apartment in secure and well maintained complex.” We stayed at this apartment for a month in the winter. On arrival we were delighted with the high standard of fixtures and fittings including the most modern hi-tech lighting and air conditioning/heating systems. The kitchen was equipped with integrated Siemens products including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The complex itself is maintained to a very high standard with exceptional gardens, large outdoor pool, indoor spa and gym. The apartment also includes use of a very secure underground parking space. We couldn't have felt more comfortable and as an added bonus we were blessed with excellent weather. Wonderful holiday.

“Superbly equipped apartment in lovely setting” Everything provided in this ultra-comfy apartment. We went for the last week of October and had mixed weather. When sun shone it reached mid 20's and we basked on sunbeds in the beautifully maintained gardens and swam in stunning infinity pool. The gardens are dotted with statues, cabanas and 'secret' areas which the children loved exploring. There is great beach just round the corner to the left in front, with clear views to sunsets over Gibralter. And when the weather wasn't playing? We were! Great family tournaments at boggle, scrabble, monopoly, risk etc (so many games are provided for all ages), plenty of books for children to read and wide selection of DVDs. Indoor pool and spa were great, not to mention the bubble-tastic jacuzzi bath at home which all enjoyed. Also key to comfort, the heating /cooling system was fantastic. I have stayed in these marble-floored villas which get freezing when weather gets cold - not so at Mar Azul: warm and cosy at the touch of a button. All in all, totally recommend: good amenities to both sides, children's favourite restaurant was at Laguna village 10 mins along beach. We also had great outings to Estepona, for market, lunch and beach, Puerto Banus (always fab) and Marbella. Children loved churros and chocolate, also calamares and prawns and galore. In fact I wish we'd had time to go to Carrefour, the supermarket, more than once - the fruit and seafood there was to die for. To sum up, This was an excellent base for a family holiday and the owner has added lots of family friendly extras which make all the difference. Buckets and spades for example, all there waiting. Also stylish, comfortable and luxurious, plus very secure. If we'd had longer, we would have done trips to Casares, Ronda and maybe Gibralter. Good for quality family time, away from the crowds.

“Nice spacious apartment in a modern well presented complex” Apartment complex was really nice, and apartment was beautiful inside; actually maybe slightly too nice with two boisterous 2 and 4 year old boys charging around the place. It was easy to put the more fragile items away somewhere safe though, and really appreciated the thoughtful touches like the beach shovels/buckets etc that were available for the kids to use while we stayed. Probably not the best place to stay if you are after wild nightlife, as it seemed generally pretty quiet after dark, (which was good for us), though probably there were places not too far if you are ok with driving, or getting a taxi, but to be fair we weren't there in peak season. Staff on site were friendly and helpful; all in all no complaints, and would definitely consider returning.

“Luxury appartment facilitated a very restful holiday” We were so unlucky with the weather when we stayed at Mar Azul, after a day of glorious sunshine it rained for the rest of the week. When sunny the complex was beautiful, particularly the infinity pool. When it rained we made good use of the indoor gym & pool and rested in the lovely appartment playing cards and board games. The beach is a few steps from the appartment complex but not one we fancied sitting on, but the local town is a short walk and the beach there is more welcoming. Apparently there is plenty to explore a drive away, though we didn't have the energy for adventure! The service was great and very responsive from the owners, reception and housekeeper, and we got a sense that they wanted us to enjoy our stay, which we did... despite the rain!

BOOKING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION AND TERM AND CONDITIONS

CHANGE OVER DAYS ARE FLEXIBLE DURING JULY AND AUGUST WE WOULD PREFER SATURDAY TO SATURDAY

We can if necessary give a no obligation 24 hour hold on the dates you wish to book to enable you to buy your flights & hire a car knowing you have the apartment reserved.

I recommend booking your car hire at the same time you are booking your flights and apartment.

This complex in July and August has a pool side bar that serves drinks and food.

The price includes Wi-Fi connection in the apartment for you to use if you bring your own lap top/s

The price includes entry into the indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Children under the age of 18 need to be supervised in the in-door pool area, gym and spa by an adult and a disclaimer signed

THESE EXTRAS ARE PROVIDED BY THE MAINTENANCE COMPANY AND I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONIBLE IF THEY ARE NOT ROVIDED FOR AMNY REASON.

For nine to thirteen night bookings and for all Autumn / Spring bookings between 1st October and 30th May a sur-charge will be added to your invoice to allow you to have a quick mid stay clean change of linen half way through you holiday. All other two week bookings the quick md stay clean and change of linen is included.

Please note we are not taking holding deposit or damage deposit. There is one payment three months before booking or at time of booking if you’re departure date is within three months.

If you should incur accidental damage we will relay on your good nature to inform housekeeping and myself of the damage and we can then get it repaired or replaced and settle up with you on your return.

I take payment by internet banking or if you prefer by cheque. Payment details will be sent at the time of booking.

Prices are based on occupancy of two four and six persons,

Payment is due in full if booking within three months of arrival date.

If booking is more than three months from arrival then please send us the full amount three months before departure.

Please note you are responsible to take out your own travel insurance.
