About the home

This is a stunning ground floor apartment situated on the ever popular Albayt Costa Galera Country Club complex. It has two bedrooms,and two bathrooms (one of which is en-suite to the double room). It has the added advantage of a double sofa bed in the living room giving a maximum of sleeping up to 6 people comfortably.

The apartment is situated on the ground floor and has its own front and rear garden. There are seven outside communal pools and a children's pool to choose from, all situated within the surrounds of the apartment.

To cater for those travelling with young children and/or babies we have provided at no extra cost a travelcot and high chair. There is also a range of multi-coloured plastic cups,saucer,bowls and cutlery for the children that are able to feed themselves but are not quite ready for the real thing..!!

The bed linen and towels are freshly washed before each and every stay and the apartment is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival.

Our keyholder lives on the complex and is available should you require any assistance during your stay.

Check-out time is usually 11am but this can be flexible as long as there is no one else due to arrive the same day as you are leaving. So if no one else is booked in and you have a late flight on your day of departure then you can check out in the afternoon at no extra cost.

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa Del Sol region is strung along the southern coast of Spain between Gibraltar to the southwest and Almeria to the east. The area has bountiful sunshine almost all year round with an average of 320 cloud-free days a year. There are stunning mountain ranges - the Sierra Nevada to the east of Malaga and the Serrania de ronda to the west.

If the visibility is right Algeciiras, the gateway to North Africa can be seen just across the Strait of Gibraltar. The lively town of Marbella is only a short taxi ride away with it's internationally famous harbour, Puerto Banus.

This part of the Costa Del Sol is a golfers paradise. There are 30+ golf clubs with courses available to cater to all levels, from beginners to experts taking part in the most important competitions in the golfing world's calendar.

Also near to Estepona are the resorts of Sotogrande and Puerto Duquesa.

Estepona itself is ideally located for so many of the nearby attractions but has the benefit of itself being in a quiet relaxing location. The Albayt Costa Galera Country Club resort is ideal for those with young children. There is a locally run company that can arrange tours for dolphin watching departing from the port of Duquesa. They also arrange, for the more adventurous, water skiing, kayak canoeing and mountain bike hire as well as deep sea fishing excursions and scuba diving. Website details at www.manilva-leisure.com

The Country Club also has an in-house Spa for those who wish to treat themselves to a total relaxation break. Within the complex is the practice golf course. The ideal place to tee a few balls and spend some wonderful moments in the open air. Technique coaching is given by expert teachers. The nearest golf club is Estepona Golf as well as a short drive to La Duquesa Golf Club or the world famous Valderrama Golf Club.

There really isn't enough time to do everything in one holiday...!!!!

The most popular method of travel to the region is via flights with either easyjet or Monarch to either of the local airports of Malaga or Gibraltar. Malaga airport is the favoured option and has just undergone a multi-million pound expansion and rennovation project making it one of the largest in Europe.

Road links especially from Malaga airport are very good. The favoured route to Estepona is via the newly built peage or toll road from Malaga. This costs approx 10 euros and should take approx 50 minutes and is a very pleasant drive taking in views over the whole coast line on the way and the surrounding countryside but avoiding the busy towns on route.

Car hire is freely available either by booking them direct or picking one up at the airport.

“Wonderful holidays with my family.” In July 2011 I was in Costa Galery Country Club with my family near Estepona, Espania. I and my family (together 5 people) had wonderful holidays. We arrived to Malaga by plane, we took a car from malagacar and went to the base of our rest- Costa Galery Country Club . It is a good place with 8 swimming pools, beautiful view on the mountains, good climate you can rest very well and free access to internet ( with own notebook) at the reception. Our apartament had everything what we needed- washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, microwave and dishes for normal life in the kichen; two bathrooms, two bedroom and living room with a terrace. Because we had a car we could see a lot of other places in the Andalusion region. We ware in Sevilla, Cadiks, Malaga, Grenada, Gibraltar, Ronda. The Estepona and places around are very good place when you are going to visit Andalusion region because they are situated in the centre of this region, directly on the sea. We had a sea 500m from the place where we stated, but we could go there only by car because of clearway beetwen Costa Galery Country Club and the sea. That is one from the many reasons why you must have a car. At the seaside we could find a lot of nice places for sunbathing, buiding sandcastles with children, swiming in the sea, playing volleyball and practising air fitness with special equipment for improving your fitness. We could rest, see a lot of interesting places, sunbathe, swim in the polls and sea. It was wonderful holidays in this place for my family. Jacek from Poland
