The Costa del Sol region

The climate is one of the highlights of the area as the Costa Del Sol has over 300 days of sunshine a year. So from May to October the weather is predominantly hot and dry ideal weather for an off season break. In July and August the temperature is hot and rises to over 30C. Then in November to April the average is 18-20C. We have wonderful sunny days and have sunbathed on the beach in late October and early November.

The local beach is just 5 minutes drive away which has staffed toilets and showers all free and well maintained. Many of the beaches have been awarded a ‘Blue Flag’. Beach car parks are also free so parking is not a problem. Most beaches have 'Chringuitos' (as shown in the photos) which are beach bars that serve drinks and reasonably priced food, Sardines are a speciality.

Wherever you drive the surrounding mountains wrap the coast line with amazing views.

Selwo Adventura, Europes largest wildlife park is just a few minutes away a good day out for the family.

The surrounding mountains wrap the coast line with amazing views. Rural Spain with the white villages are a treasure to explore Casares as shown is a magical sugar cubed village steeped in Moorish history well worth a visit.

Estepona is our local town it is only about 5 minutes drive by car. It is a quaint and interesting town with a stunning blue-flag beach and promenade. There is also a small bay called ‘Playa De Cristo’ which particularly safe for young children. The old town has narrow streets and lovely squares with good restaurants. An evening jewellery and arts market is held in July and August and a street market every Wednesday. The marina has good restaurants offering everything from paella to Italian , Chinese and Indian .

San Pedro is another pleasant town close to the apartment, the beach and promenade offer a very pleasant walk on a balmy evening. Restaurants line the promenade with wonderful views to Gibraltar.

Gibraltar is a unique experience that you must not miss about 40 minutes away by car. Pound sterling is the currency and after crossing the airport runway which is a novelty in itself you can reach the town. The town offers lots of shops and the architecture in the area is really British as if going back in time. A visit to the rock offers lots of attractions and views of Africa. Beware of the monkeys that run wild. Trips to see the dolphins are also available from this area and trips to Tangier (Morocco) for the adventurous.

Golf - the area often nicknamed Costa del Golf due to the numerous and world famous courses within a 15-20 minutes drive from the apartment. There is a local golf course just a short drive a way.

Puerto Banus Marina frequented by the rich and famous and well renowned for the luxurious yachts well worth a visit one evening. There is an excellent Saturday market located by the bull ring it closes at 2pm so an early start is worth it.

The Costa del Sol offers so much, there is winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains just a drive away. The historic town of Rhonda steeped in history which boasts the oldest bull ring. There is an incredible gorge which divides the town and is known as "El Tajo" it spans the town by a stone bridge which used to house a prison. There is a restaurant set into the gorge rock a lovely place to have a drink with spectacular views. Rhonda is also very good for shopping with leather goods being a speciality.

Marbella is set against the stunning backdrop of "La Concha" (the shell shaped mountain). The drive is approximately 10 minutes the beaches are beautiful. A drink in the 'Orange' Square in the old town is a must with classical music in the background...

Ideal for out of season visitors is a trip to ‘The‘Refuge’ which is on the road to Coin a natural area that offers wonderful walks through pine forests. The end result a breathtaking view of the coastline and the bay of Marbella. The Refuge itself is a wonderful sanctuary for peace a hotel offering a welcome drink after your walk where peacocks roam freely.

"A great relaxing family holiday in a lovely apartment and complex"

Hi Karen,

Can I just say what a great time my family had on this holiday. The apartment and complex was lovely and had everything that we needed to make our stay relaxing. You gave good directions from the airport to the apartment that we found easy to follow and please pass on our thanks to Sandra who met us with a smile and explained all we needed to know. People we met around the pool were friendly and helpful as well.

The apartment was very clean and tidy and well equipped with lots of space, I spent many a night sat on the balcony with a glass of wine relaxing.

We ate out every night at different restaurants in Marbella, Estopona, Puerto Banus and San Pedro and all enjoyed the beach bars for lunch time drinks and food (blue dolphin in Estopona was good as well as nikki beach). We also had a day out to Gibraltar.

All in all none of us wanted to come home and time just flew by, we all said that it was the quickest holiday we had ever had which shows how much we were enjoying it. To top it all the weather was great too.

We did not feel the need to use the air conditioning when we were there, all we did was leave the two balcony doors open and let the lovely light breeze blow through the apartment.

Thank you again for all your help in giving my family a holiday to remember and I will defiantly be returning at some time soon.

"Fantastic apartment definitely would visit again"

I stayed in the apartment with my soon to be husband and Sister. I was getting married at Tikitano which is only 5 minutes away so was a great location for me to stay and get ready at. The apartment is in a quiet compound close to selwo safari park and a short drive to Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella so there is lots that you can do.

The apartment is a 2 bedroom apartment that is very spacious and has 2 balcony, one which is big and is great for entertaining, as for us we had a lot of friends and family over for the wedding. I got ready for the wedding at the apartment along with my 4 bridesmaids, my mum, my auntie, my brother, his 3 kids plus the hairdresser, makeup artist and the photographer and I never felt like there wasn't enough room.

Over all a fantastic apartment in a great location and we would definitely go back again. Thank you.

"A beautiful apartment, a lovely stay."

The apartment was very well equipped, A great lay out inside perfect for our family of two boys 7 and 3.
The location is a short drive to a Carrefour supermarket for all essentials and a short drive to estepona's beautiful promenade and beach, great for walks or a run for the more athletic. There are also play areas for the kids which are a bonus. I mark the location a 4 just because you do need a car to get to the town, it's not walking distance.
The apartment overlooks the swim pool where we spent most days relaxing swimming and chatting to the other families and residents staying in the apartments.
A very enjoyable stay had by all. we will be back.

"Summer in the sun"

We have had a fantastic holiday in this apartment which has a luxury feel. The apartment is very well furnished, the complex is very nice and safe, with lifts and underground car parking. Our kids loved it and the swimming pool and made lotS of friends. The pool could do with some more sun beds. The area has lots to explore. We will come back.
