Marina Bay is a highly prestigous apartment complex directly overlooking, and with private access to, the renowned Cristo Beach (Playa del Cristo). The apartment is extremely spacious so you'll have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your family time together and when night falls, you can tuck the kids up in bed and claim the evening for yourselves knowing they're sleeping safe and sound whilst you relax on the terrace.

The terrace is directly overlooking the beach enabling you to take in the breathtaking views of the coast including Gibraltar, North Africa as well as the amazing sunsets across the bay. The apartment benefits from air conditioning throughout and also window blinds to ensure you keep your cool even on the hottest days. Heating for the winter period is also provided, all at no extra cost.

The apartment has been furnished and equipped as a holiday home from home rather than a "rental unit" and so you should have all you need to enjoy your short break or long term stay. It has also recently been refurbished throughout to an exceedingly high standard including all new linen and towels.

The fully fitted kitchen includes a full oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dish washer, etc. Whether it's just somewhere to make tea & toast in the morning or creating mouth-watering meals, cooked with the freshest ingredients from the local markets, your own kitchen is invaluable. Or choose to escape the cooking completely and enjoy regional delicacies in the best local cafe bars and restaurants.

Estepona Marina with the local shops, tapas bars and restaurants is within an easy five minute walk and the beautiful, traditional white walled Estepona old town is also on the doorstep.

The Andalucia region

Estepona is not your typical English holiday resort on the Costa del Sol. As a lot of Spanish from the North of Spain holiday in Estepona it has retained a true Spanish feel and avoided some of the over commercialisation which has spoilt some areas on the Coast.

Estepona itself has 2 EC Blue Flag beaches, a popular marina area with many tapas bars and restaurants and a lovely white walled town with a pedestrianised shopping area. All within a 5 minute walk.

Due to its natural environment, surrounded by the sea and Sierra Bermeja mountains, Estepona enjoys a microclimate with over 325 days of sunshine per year and also lovely mild winters. A perfect escape for some winter sun.

Some local attractions that you may wish to visit are:

Gibraltar - Only 35 minutes drive from Estepona (and on the local bus route), Gibraltar is a sunny, VAT-free haven where you can find duty free bargains from electronic equipment & jewellery to leather & perfumes & haggling is encouraged! Make sure you don't miss the spectacular natural caverns of St. Michael's Caves or visit the Ape's Den, home to some of Gibraltar's famous Barbary Apes, the only free-to-roam primates in Europe. Watch out for monkey business as they can be mischievous and have been known to pick the occasional pocket looking for treats.

Puerto Banus - Puerto Banus is about 20 minutes drive away. It has a large number of designer stores including Versace and Armani. Perfect for millionaire spotting and you may also see a famous face in the marina as a number of Hollywood stars have summer homes there.

Laguna Village - A stunning high class shopping experience just 10 minutes drive away. Whether spending an extravagant day at the beach club, shopping in the designer stores or spending time in the luxurious bars and restaurants then Laguna Village (www.laguna-village.com) is the ideal place.

Selwo Safari Park - Only 20 minutes drive away and on the public transport route, Selwo is ideal for the perfect family day out. The park is based on an African safari park and houses 2000 animals from giraffes to panthers in semi-wild conditions. Like Jurassic Park, large open sided lorries drive you through the various animal enclosures and up into the hills above Estepona. There are elephants, bears, hippos and so much more to see. In the summer, cover up as it can get very hot and there is not much shelter.

Golf - There are over 20 courses within a 45 minute drive. The local Estepona Golf Club (www.esteponagolf.com) is reasonably priced between 20 - 60 euro's for a round and the Sunday Express regarded their greens as some of the best on the Costa Del Sol. Also Monte Mayor Golf and Country Club (www.montemayorgolf.laperlainternationalliving.com) with its exciting fairway winding through dramatic gullies, ravines and streams, offers a superb challenge to even the most experienced golfers.

Also trips to beautiful Ronda, Tarifa and Casares are recommended if you have time. Or why not try Tangiers, North Africa which is only a 30-45 minute ferry crossing away.

Estepona

Marina Bay is ideally situated overlooking Cristo Beach (Playa del Cristo) and is an easy 5 minute walk from the heart of Estepona's thriving fishing port & marina. Cristo Beach is a delightful oyster-shaped cove of sheltered, gently shelving sand, ideal for children and for many years the beach has been awarded EC Blue Flag status for cleanliness and safety and in high season is manned daily with lifeguards. It also has well maintained toilet and shower facilities and a choice of 2 beach front restaurants (chiringuitos) with a true Spanish feel. Ideal for spending a full day on the beach!

Estepona has many facets which makes it a popular holiday destination for those looking for a relaxing break to unwind, eat well, have a cool drink and chill out, people watching.

Estepona Port and Town is typically Spanish and has retained all of it's charm even though it is a well established tourist destination. It has pleasantly managed to avoid a "night club" culture but does have a wide variety of restaurants & bars to chose from.

Within a 5 minutes walk from the apartment you will find several supermarkets and shops and the local tapas bars and restaurants situated in Estepona Marina.

"Fantastic! Better is hardly possible!"

This apartment gives all that was mentioned on the website. Spacious, clean, Well furnished with a stunning terrace. 5 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops. The secure underground parking is very pleasant . The owner gives all the information you need about restaurants, shops etc. Even trips in the neighbourhood. We go back next year and highly recommand this apartment to both elder people and a family with children. The welcome pack is great. It was a warm welcome with also a bottle of wine waiting for us on the table .

"Couldn't ask for more"

An ideal holiday venue. For relaxing there is the beautiful Cristo beach which is only a stone's throw away and has well kept toilet and shower facilities and a great bar/restaurant. It is ideal for young children as the water stays calm in the bay and does not get deep quickly. The town is also quite interesting and not your typical hotel resort, and there are loads of interesting places to visit nearby. The apartment is lovely - spacious, well equipped, clean and homely, with great views from the veranda. The overall complex is peaceful and welcoming. The pool is a decent size and deep enough for diving one end, whilst also safe for children.

There is a decent supermarket only down the road and also a tourist information office, which was a useful source of information.

"Excellent location"

We stayed in this apartment for a week in August, the apartment was very clean and well furnished. The air-con was, I am pleased to say, very well used. There are many restaurants in Estepona Marina but, given the excellent location so close to the beach, we spent a couple of evenings with a home cooked pizza and a bottle of sparkling wine enjoying the late sun while the kids played in the sea. I would definitely recommend this apartment and plan to visit again.

"Superb experience - first time in Spain"

From the moment we contacted Andy to discuss the rental, to our regrettable return trip home (we didn't want to leave), we had an amazing experience. The apartment is in a delightful location with excellent views and superb facilities. Estepona and surrounding area is a credit to the Spanish tourism industry and we were never short of activities for when we tired of being on Cristo Beach or lounging by the peaceful pool. Gibraltar is well worth a visit if only to stock up on duty free (and petrol for the hire car). One of our best days was spent exploring the mountains from Casares all the way up to Ronda. We would not hesitate to recommend both the location and the apartment to future visitors. Thanks again for a great holiday.

"Lovely apartment - highly recommend!!"

Had a fantastic stay at the Marina Bay 2 apartment in Estepona. The apartment was exactly as advertsed and fully equipped with everything you would need. The terrace was lovely looking out to the sea and we enjoyed a few sunbathing sessions with the sun on the terrace from lunchtime until late! It was also lovely to sit out on the terrace in the evening. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance at Estepona Marina and 2 beaches also within walking distance (Cristo beach on your doorstep!) La Rada beach is about a 15 minute walk from the apartment and we enjoyed walking along the beach where there is also more restaurants and bars. A trip to Puerto Banus is a must! We thoroughly enjoyed our day out there (although slightly depressing seeing all the millionaires yachts and cars!)...still hoping for that lottery win! There are some lovely places to eat and great places for ice cream! We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe in Puerto Banus which is just across from the Marina. The food was brilliant!

Andy made booking the apartment very easy and provided us with lots of information on the area, places to go/eat etc and was very helpful with any questions we had. He also booked our airport transfers for us and Ernest the driver was also happy to provide us with lots of tips. Sue met us with the keys for the apartment and brought us round essentials to get us going (bread, milk, water etc) We had a very enjoyable holiday and wouldn't hesitate booking the apartment again in the future. I would recommend to family and friends (and have done so!) Thanks to Andy and co for making our holiday one to remember!

"Superb and spacious apartment - exactly what the ad said!"

We had a wonderful week in this apartment in April 2012 and were fortunate enough to have some lovely warm weather too. The apartment was very well equipped, and beautifully furnished. Everything about the apartment was great, but the spacious sun terrace will take some beating! It was private and sheltered from any breeze and had everything we wanted. The description of the apartment was spot on and the owners very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to book this apartment again if we returned to Estepona in the future - we'd have to book well in advance though, because it's obviously a popular venue - understandably so!! Would have no hesitation in recommending.
