The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa Del Sol is affectionately known as "The Frying Pan" and is the hotest part of Spain lying on the shores of the Mediterranean and sheltered on its northern reaches by the slopes of the Sierra Bermeja range of mountains. The nearest Town is Estepona and is about 1Km away - 10 minutes walk along a flower decked pathway.
Estepona area
Estepona, once a small fishing village, now boasts wonderful flower lined promanades. There are 6 good golf courses within minutes of the Villa and Selwo animal park is just 2 miles away (ideal for children). There is a local produce market on Wednesdays and a Sunday market in the port of Estepona with local artisan products. Other activities in the vicinity are: Costa del sol Racecourse, pleasure parks, water parks, a marine centre, museums, clay pigeon shooting and dolphin watching. Mountain villages such as Casares and Monda are a pleasure to visit. Other activie include, Tennis, Golf and Beach and Poolside relaxation.
How to get there
Estepona is just one hour's drive from Malaga airport (80 kms) and 45 minutes from Gibraltar airport (45 kms). A car can be rented from either airport or taxi from Malaga 80 Euros, Gibraltar 50 Euros. Villas Andaluzus is one and a half Km from the centre of Estepona in the direction of Marbella.
