Having spent 6 days at this brill apartment we did not want to come home. Situation on a lovely resort, with plenty of golf available, between the towns of Estepona and Duquesa. Both these towns have plenty of bars, shops and beaches. They both have a marina's which is lovely for evening stroll.
The apartment is clean and spacious, set out over 3 floors. On the first floor is the living and dining room, along with fully equipped kitchen and a toilet. There is also a terrace which is ideal for breakfast as you get the morning sun.
On the 2nd floor are 3 bedrooms, en suite in the master room and family bathroom. There is plenty of storage space and hangers.
On the 3rd is a roof terrace, with 360 deg views. The views are spectacular, there are hills and sea views. It was lovely to come back from the beach and spend the evening sat watching the sun set. There are plenty of sunbeds up here along with BBQ and parasol.
Everything you could need is here. The resort has a spa, swimming pools, bar. In the apartment you are provided with all the information on the resort, area, places to eat, taxi numbers. There are plenty of supermarkets within easy reach of the apartment, where you can buy almost anything.
The towns of Estepona and Duquesa are only a 5 min drive away, there are buses, however a taxi will only be about 10 euros. The towns are still quite traditional, they make you feel very welcome. There are lots of places to eat to suit all budgets and tastes.
If you want some lively nightlife head to Estepona, there are plenty of bars which are open til the early hours.
My favourite beach is El Cristo just as you head into Estepona, it is a blue flag beach. You can pack up your car for the day and park on the beach. There are two bars serving drinks and food, they also hire sunbeds (5 euro per day). There is no obligation to buy anything from the bars. The beach is clean and cleaned everyday. It is a small bay, the sea is clear and still, very safe for young children. You can walk to Estepona Marina from here.
I hired a car which I picked up at Malaga airport. This was the first time I had drove abroad and found it very easy. The road is one dual carriageway all the way to Estepona. We were then able to explore around the area going into the local towns.
We really didn't want to come home, and we are planning on returning as soon as I can.
