This beautifully appointed ground floor apartment is perfect for family holidays. Not only is it spacious inside (large living/dining room, ultra-modern kitchen, two large bedrooms - each with their own bathroom), but it has a wonderful patio and enclosed grassed garden, ideal for small children, which leads right onto the nearby main pool area (with safety fence to protect the little ones). The patio is equipped with a barbeque and lockable drinks fridge. So you and your family can saunter the twenty paces to the pool in order to sun, cool or exercise yourself, and saunter back for a drink or snack with ease!

Fancy the beach and sea instead? You can walk there in just over five minutes, and enjoy the typically Spanish beach bars and restaurants (chiringuitos) while your little ones play in the white sand.

Prefer a bit more Spanish character? Only slightly further away, but still within walking distance, is the quaint village of Cancelada with typical Spanish bars, restaurants and small shops. There are also supermarkets within easy reach.

More adventurous? Get in your hired car (recommended), and you can be at the rich man's playground of Puerto Banus with its famous marina, or neighbouring elegant Marbella, within 10-15 minutes. Even closer, you have the charming town of Estepona to explore. And further afield, are Gibraltar, Granada and many other great one-day excursions.

Or are you a golfer? Then you are in luck! There are more than half a dozen world-class golf courses within half an hour's drive or less.

The Andalucia region

Andalucia - the southernmost part of Spain - is a wonderful region, rich in history and culture, in addition to its temperate all-year-round climate and fine beaches. It is also the hub of some of the finest temperate weather golf courses in Europe.

Hiring a car (cheap and recommended) opens up a wide range of excellent day excursions, on top of the nearby attractions of Marbella, Puerto Banus, Estepona and others. Gibraltar is less than an hour's drive away, as is Malaga in the other direction. Beyond Malaga, you can reach Granada, with itsfantastic Moorish Alhambra Palace, in well under two hours. Plus there are many delightful, and still unspoilt, small towns and villages in the imposing hills above the Costa del Sol and the surrounding region.

Estepona

Park Beach is in the so-called 'New Golden Mile', roughly equidistant between elegant Marbella and quaint but up-and-coming Estepona. You can go shopping, meandering, cafe-crawling or just beach-bumming in either direction.

Closer to home, the village of Cancelada is just 10 minutes' walk away. It has authentic Spanish architecture, a number of small shops, restaurants and bars, and also a modern gym if you are fitness-inclined. Also walkable are a small supermarket, with a choice of larger ones a short drive away.
