Lovely modernised Andalucian townhouse in a quiet street overlooking the town and countryside. Three first floor bedrooms (2 double, 1 single), bathroom and toilet/laundry room on ground floor. Sitting room, big central hallway and large modern kitchen. Outside there is a large patio area and a big roof terrace with stunning views.
Estepa is a quiet, friendly little town, full of history, away from the tourist crowds and surrounded by olive groves. Beautiful countryside for walking, particularly in the spring and autumn. Just an hour's drive from Sevilla, Cordoba and Malaga and a bit more from Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Nearest beach is Malaga, but there are also lakes for swimming about 40 minutes away. The salt water lake at Fuente de Piedra is about 20 minutes away and is home to 170 different species of wildlife, including flamingoes, Antequera and the rugged scenery of El Torcal about 30 minutes. Ideally situated for exploring inland Andalucia with its mountains, plains, white villages, peace and quiet or bustle, depending on your preference.

The Andalucia region
Inland Andalucia is beautiful. Estepa is about an hour's drive from Sevilla, Malaga and Cordoba, and a little bit further from Granada and an ideal base to explore the area. There are beautiful white villages, all with stories to tell, places such as Osuna, Antequera, Ecija, Marinaleda, Fuente de Piedra may not make it on to the usual tourist map, but they are really worth a visit. In our opinion, the best months to visit are February to June when you're likely to have warm weather during the day without it being too hot. March is fantastic for visiting Cordoba, for example, for the orange blossom in the courtyard of the Mezquita. Winter days can be warm, but the nights quite chilly. July and August are just hot with temperatures quite often hitting 40 degrees C. The countryside offers everything from towering mountains to scorching plains, cork forests and acres of olive groves.
Estepa quite often gets confused with Estepona, which is near Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Estepa is quite different! It is a town of around 12,000 people, built on the side of a mountain, with a convent and hermitage looking down on it from the top - and the views from the top of the hill are amazing! As well as spending a day or so looking around Estepa's many historical monuments, there are plenty of towns and villages around and about, as well as stunning countryside. There are marked walks through the hills, cycle routes and plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you refreshed along the way. There is a huge saltwater lake at Fuente de Piedra which is home to hundreds of flamingos who come to breed in the spring. You can also visit the donkey sanctuary there at the same time! We sometimes go down to the coast, which is about an hour's drive, and we tend to go to somewhere like Rincon de la Victoria to the east of Malaga.

"Excellent location, great facilities, very easy to access! Heart of Andalucia..."
This is a really nicely finished three bed house in the lovely small town of Estepa, a very easy 80min drive from Malaga airport. Pre-arrival info was very informative with great directions and the leaflets, maps and booklets in the house rival a Tourist Office. The house is very well appointed (great kitchen) with two rear terraces, one with an excellent view. All the Andalucían highlights are within 1-1.5hrs drive. Remember to pre-book the Alhambra in Granada. Highly recommended. Very nice UK owners with local support a phonecall away should you need any!

"A home from home in Andalucia, well positioned for trips to major cities"
This is an excellent property in Estepa - a quiet and very Spanish town with all the facilities you need. It is excellent position meant we coould easily car trip to Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga. We had all the faciities we wanted in the house with distant views from the balcony.

It's a beautiful house with all mod cons and the care takers couldn't have been more helpful during our stay. The tips and info sent beforehand were also invaluable and made everything really easy and familiar. The town is amazing as are the sights, sounds and walks.
