The Kyrenia District
Blue bay village is located 10 minutes from the village of Esentepe, where you can get provisions as well as petrol or just explore this traditional Cypriot village. Or a 25 minute drive into the capital of Northern Cyprus Kyrenia (GIRNE) This is a must with is winding streets, bars and restaurants spread around one of the most stunning harbours in the Mediterranean. The castle that protects the entrance is one of the many historical sites that can be explored.
Cyprus enjoys one of the best climates with over 300 days of sunshine each year. There are just so many places to visit ,we can suggest various websites depending on your individual interests.But the turtle watch is a must, to see these majestic creatures return to the beaches of Cyprus to lay there eggs is truly awesome.
Esentepe area
The newly built 18 hole golf course is only minutes away. To see just what it has to offer take a look at www.korineumgolf.com . There is also a secluded little fishing harbour, tucked away, just along the coast. Where you can buy freshly caught fish , as long as you are up early enough. Or take a relaxing horse ride through the olive groves, with the sun on your back. Building up a healthy appetite, then visit one of the fine restaurants in the Esentepe area. The Antique restaurant and bar is a must, serving real down to earth local food, at great prices. This place is just crammed full of local antiquities and curios. Or tuck into great Kebabs and mezes at The Tumba restaurant , right in the heart the village of Esentepe, this guy is the local butchers son so you can be sure of the best cuts of meat at this place. As well as a great meal, it has a really cozy atmosphere. Just opposite is the open air Rosie's restaurant , perched on the edge of the cliff, this is where you will taste Cypriot food, fit for a king. Offering specials every day ,as well as a fixed menu. Or you can visit Aligadi beach for water sports including scuba diving, or just a boat trip to take in the views from the ocean. Another place to visit near by is the Acupulco beach resort and casino, which offers a more up market place to soak up the sun, with sun beds and beach bar. Or maybe have a flutter on the tables of an evening. There are many historical sites to visit including St Hilarion castle, which is built into the cliff face over looking Girne, a "must do" whilst you are in Northern cyprus. Belapais Abbey is another must , where you can amble around the abbey and take in the magnificent views. Alternatively if you want to get back to nature, take a trip up to The Karpaz or " Panhandle" This is a designated nature reserve, where wild donkeys roam freely, and you will discover miles of deserted sandy beaches. Northern Cyprus has just so much to offer, too numerous to mention here. But we aim to provide you with as much information as we can , contained in our "info" folder, at the apartments. And ask our guests to add anything they may discover, to the folder, so that future visitors may benefit from your experiences.
How to get there
You can fly from most major UK airports. Option one is to fly to Ercan airport in the north of the island, having a short stop en-route in Turkey usually Istanbul. This route takes about 5 hours.
The two main airlines to the north are Pegasus or Turkish Airlines. Or you can fly direct to the south of the island, normally to Larnaca. Then a taxi ride will take you to the resort.
Airlines now flying to the south are Easyjet and Monarch. But we would reccommend a hire car whilst on your holiday, this can be arranged for you and your car will be awaiting your arrival if you fly to Ercan.

A paved walkway threads its way through the landscaped gardens.So you can socialise by the pool or gain sanctuary on your own roof terrace. Either enjoying your breakfast as the sun rises up over the sea or a night cap under the stars.Or if you step outside of the complex it is like a step back in time,were you can see how traditional Cypriot farmers work the land and rear cows, sheep and goats.

A 20% deposit will be reqiured at time of booking and balance payable 2 weeks prior to departure. Also a £100 deposit will be held and fully returned once property has been checked for damages. 10 % discount for bookings of 2 or more weeks..
