About the home

Welcome to Sunset Valley. Just awarded "Best Luxury Development in North Cyprus 2008".

The villa is a brand new luxury villa situated in a quiet peaceful location at the foot of the Besparmak mountains to which it has direct access, and stunning sea views from its terraces. The villa benefits from its own large swimming pool surrounded by terraces and gardens. It is ideal for small children as all terraces are fully enclosed by railings.

Everything has been provided to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay including satellite TV, WiFi, CD and DVD player and full air conditioning for the hot summer months.

There is plenty to enjoy - an International golf course, Turtle Beach and Nature Bay are all 10mins by car. The ancient port town of Kyrenia is 30mins where you can amble through the winding cobbled streets, sit and enjoy a meal, glass of wine overlooking the picturesque harbour and sample a unique way of life, that Northern Cyprus has to offer.

Conditions

25% of the total charge is payable as a deposit on booking. Please note that the villa is only taken off the market, when this deposit is received. The full balance is payable 8 weeks prior to your booked date. A fully refundable breakages/security bond of £200 is required. This will be returned to you within 10 working days after the end of your stay, subject to satisfactory inspection by our property management team.

The Kyrenia region

Old Kyrenia Harbour: It is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting sites of the oriental Mediterranean. The marina is surrounded by old Venetian houses, restaurants and taverns. It attracts numerous colourful fishing boats as well as elegant yachts. Girne was founded by the Myceneans towards 1600 BC

Places to visit include Kyrenia Castle, Panagia Chrysopolitissa Church, The Shipwrick Museum and there are three Magnificent Castles.

The Esentepe, Kyrenia area

The village of Esentepe, has shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a petrol station and a patisserie and a very friendly, village feel. The area surrounding Esentepe has also been marked by the Goivernment as a area of development which means that a lot of public and private money has been invested into the area to improve infrastructure, such as roads, water pipes, electricity cables, etc.

Combined with the natural beauty of the surrounding pine and Sypress tree forests, olive groves and carob trees, and its close proximity to stunning beaches, is helping to establish the area as one of the most soughtafter in North Cyprus.

Korineum Golf and Country Club
Just a 10 minute drive from the villa is the Korineum Golf and Country Club - an 18 hole, international standard golf course designed by Arne Van Amerongen which also features an additional 3 training holes. The Golf and Country Club also has a private club house, public restaurant, bar and hotel facilities. The golf course, is without doubt, one of the most stunning courses in the entire Mediterranean region because it offers both dramatic views of the coastline as well as the Besparmak mountain range.

Sea Turtles
Also a 10 minute drive away is the famous Alagadi (turtle) beach where Loggerhead and Green turtles lay their nests, and is the location of the Marine Turtle Conservation Project, a group of volunteers who monitor and assist with nesting. It is possible to watch nest excavations that may be taking place and also to find out about overnight camping on the beach to monitor the turtles as they come in to lay their eggs. Our website has more details. The beach is also a popular bathing spot and has a restaurant, showers and is also a base for the North Cyprus Scuba Diving club.

Scuba Diving
With its great dive sites, lack of tide and one of the longest dive seasons in the world (April until Christmas), scuba diving in North Cyprus is a 'must do, activity. There are a number of places to learn or hire equipment, but the one we recommend is the North Cyprus Scuba Centre based at Alagadi Beach.

Boat Trips
There are many boats in Kyrenia harbour offering daily boat trips and evening sunset sails. They all essentially offer the same service, either a days sailing with stops for swimming and snorkelling and lunch, or an evening cruise to watch the sunset over dinner.

Fly to Ercan (Northern Cyprus) - transfer time to villa 30mins approx £30/each way.
All flight to Ercan touch down in Turkey but you do not need to disembark usually about 45mins.

Fly to Larnaca (Southern Cyprus) - transfer time to villa 90mins approx £45/each way.
