'La Pereza' looks out across the unspoiled entrance to Mahon harbour and the historic fortification of 'La Mola' which for centuries had guarded Menorca's south-east approaches. Set in large walled gardens with private pool. La Pereza's perfect tranquility makes it a perfect location with all amenities close by.
The villa has been recently fitted with a new oil-fired heating and hot water system to give year -round comfort. Air conditioning is installed within the main lounge. La Pereza's gardens are fully walled and enclosed and are ideally secure for small children, yet large enough to be an adventure! The villa is professionally managed by our agents in Menorca and fully cleaned and prepared before your arrival with the requisite beds made up. We do ask people not to smoke in the property please. The property is constructed on 3 levels and therefore unfortunately unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Bathrooms: Two bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has en-suite bath/shower room with basin. WC and bidet. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom with walk-in shower, WC, basin and bidet with large electric towel rail.
Kitchen: Fully tiled Spanish style kitchen with walk-in larder, gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
Utility Room: Washing machine is sited within the garage utility room.
Living Rooms: Split level lounge/dining room with dining table, large sofa (sofa bed), 2 armchairs, TV with DVD and Free view UK stations. French doors open to tree lined lower garden laid to lawn and upper poolside terraces with covered seating/dining areas.
Other: Small roof terrace.
Cleaning / towels / linen / maid service: The villa is fully cleaned prior to your arrival and after you leave. Fresh linen is supplied along with bath and hand towels (please bring your own beach towels). During a 2 week let the bed -linen and towels are changed after approximately 7 days.

Outside
The villa enjoys a slightly elevated position affording beautiful views towards the south eastern harbour entrance. Positioned centrally within gardens of '1/3 of an acre and bounded by several areas of natural parkland. To the west La Pereza has the feeling of secluded privacy and tranquillity and at the same time feels refreshingly open an bright. The private pool is safe for children and elderly alike with its Roman steps and large surrounds and there is a further large furnished patio to the east side of the villa for eating and sunbathing.

The Menorca region


Menorca is a beautiful island hosting Idyllic sandy beaches and coves abound on this island and many can be reached within 10-30 minutes drive. Es Grau, Alcaufar, Cala'n Porter and Punta Prima are just a few of the many beaches for all the family to enjoy. There are numerous bars and restaurants in Menorca offering both Spanish and international cuisine. The eighteenth century Fort Marlbourough with its amazing historical tours is 5 minutes drive away from the villa, and across the harbour the historical site of :La Mola, used in the filming of the Horn Blower has daily visits throughout the summer.
Enjoy the many boat trips and excursions for all the family, Menorca is one of the most idyllic places to visit that caters for all.
The Es Castell area
The peaceful urbanisation of Sol Del Este is just 10 minutes walk to the small town of Es Castell with its colourful and vibrant small harbour and the first safe mooring point for the traditional small fishing boats which line its walls /with its many restaurants and bars overlooking the water, it's a great place to order a coffee, a meal-or simply relax and watch the world go by. From the harbour the two minute walk up int the centre leads to the delightfully open Main Square with its shaded tree-lined avenues. Supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and shops are all to be found in close proximity as are taxis and regular buses to Mahon. The local festivals take place during the summer months, which always prove to be a great source of entertainment in the next bay, Cala corb, you can enjoy the 'Es Cau' guitar bar long into the night.

We just got back from a stay at La Pereza. The villa is lovely, well kept and clean. The pool is set in beautiful gardens and is big enough for a proper swim. The only reason we haven't given La Pereza 5star rating is because of the beds. Sorry guys, we found them a little hard for a comfortable nights sleep, and the second bathroom/wet room if not used throughout the day, would develop a strong odour of sewage. We could have contacted the agents but decided as there are only two of us, we just wouldnt use it and kept the door shut. I'm sure once they realise theres a problem it will be rectified. Don't be put off by those two minor hiccups, as the villa is really beautiful and worth staying in. The location is ideal being a ten minute walk to CalesFonts, where there are excellent restaurants and bars. Try Trebol, although a little expensive it's worth every penny. We had the fish platter for two. Cuttlefish is yummy. There is a local bar/cafe 'The rising sun' which looks out over the harbour on the Sol De Est estate, which is basic but friendly enough, and worth a visit if you want just a two minute walk. There is a supermarket/shop also on the estate, however we didn't manage to find it open, but did our shopping in the main supermarket in es Castell. There are numerous beaches and everywhere in Menorca is within easy travelling distance by car or bus. We can recommend the glass bottom boat trip, we took the half day one which includes a 30min stop for a swim. Great fun, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially forthcoming with the free sangria and pomade. A great holiday. made Fabulous by the beautiful Villa we stayed in. The owners provided brilliantly clear directions/instructions from the airport and renting was easy. Thanks to all for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed a fortnight at this villa, the pool was excellent, the grounds extensive and the area lovely. We did find the villa itself a little tired. The air conditioning was not working, neither was the hairdryer. Although the advert mentioned that the villa was on 3 levels, it did not mention that the kitchen was on the 3rd level, this meant negotiating a number of steps whilst carrying food and drink. There was no handrail on the steps to the master bedroom. The advert also shows photos of a covered car parking area and a garage, but the garage cannot be used for parking and the covering has gone. The outside seating was in such poor condition that it actually collapsed whilst we were there. Response: We are pleased you enjoyed your holiday in Menorca.
