This lovely detached villa, in 1/4 acre of grounds, is located in Son Vilar, a peaceful village on the outskirts of Mahon (Capital) and Es Castell (popular fishing village) both of which have excellent amenities, and restaurants and bars galore. Many gorgeous beaches are an easy 20 min drive away.
The villa is fully equipped (including Satellite FreeSat TV) and all the bedrooms are air conditioned (both cool or heat). There is a large terrace with private pool which has Roman Steps at the shallow end (ideal for children, or the elderly). There is an excellent BBQ and a further patio for al fresco dining, abnd there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone.
The villa is registered and has passed the scrutinty of the Menorca tourist board.

The villa is fully cleaned and prepared for your arrival and subsequent departure.
All linen and towels are provided (but please bring your own BEACH TOWELS).
For stays of more than one week the villa has a interim weekly clean and complete linen and towel change.

The private swimming pool (8M X 5M) has Roman Steps at the shallow end, and is fully serviced twice a week during the summer.

There is a local manager available to deal with any villa or pool problems at no cost to tenents.
A substantial complimentary Welcome Pack is provided for your arrival containing: bread, butter, marmalade, eggs, cheese, tea, coffee, water, fruit juice, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, soap, matches, red/white wine, and a carton of beer.
Conditions
The property is on one level (all at ground level) with the usual one step entrance to prevent ingress of rain. Elderly and wheelchair users may not find this a problem but should bear this in mind. Providing the wheelchair user has assistance then the "one step of normal height" should present no problems

The Menorca region
The magical Mediterranean Island of Menorca (Minorca) has over 120 beaches, some of them being the most beautiful in Europe. Most are unspoiled and they are to be be found in every nook and cranny of the coastline of an island only 30 miles by 12. Some are long stretches of fine sand, others are sheltered bays or coves. The sea is of the clearest blue with an unmatchable clarity and with the most agreeable of temperatures which make it a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, or for those just lounging and chilling out.
During the year there is an average of 300 days of sunshine with an average of 5 hours a day in winter and more than 10 hours a day in summer.
For those interested in history and culture there is much to see and do, while for lovers of good food and wine there are some excellent local restaurants offering very reasonably priced meals and the waterside cave bars in Es Castell (5 min's drive) enable you to soak up the atmosphere. For those on a budget I provide a guide for my tenants of local restaurants to eat (3 courses) for less than 11 Euros (£8) (including wine)!
The Es Castell / Son Vilar area
Es Castell is a popular fishing village just five mins drive from the villa. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and pockets. The harbour is particularly attractive and atmospheric, and the cave bars and restaurants really come alive in the evening.
The villa is situated in Son Vilar, a quiet residential village on the outskirts of the popular Mahon and Es Castell, and is close to amenities, superb restaurants and bars, and a short drive to gorgeous beaches. An ideal base for families, couples, or groups of friends seeking a villa holiday on this lovely Island. It is fully equipped (including Satellite FreeSat TV), and all linen is supplied and laundered weekly. A hire car can be arranged direct in Menorca with a good discount for my tenants.

There are several budget airlines that fly to Menorca (Mahon) and you can find the best deals using a search on the web. If you are having difficulty with this then please contact the owner.
Mahon airport is only a 15 min drive to the villa and taxis wait outside the arrivals area (£15 approx). However, a hire car is strongly advised for your holiday and my tenants receive a good discount for pre booked cars. You will be met at the airport with your car and easy driving instructions on how to get to the villa. If you need more information on local car hire please contact the owner for help.

“Yet another visit to this fantastic villa - our sixth time! There are many things which make this particular villa very special. Firstly, its location is ideal. It is located in a small quiet village on the east side of the island, close to the capital Mahon and within walking distance of the lovely town of Es Castell. Both Mahon and Es Castell offer very good eating places - the harbour front at Mahon has a promenade of restaurants of all types – whilst in Es Castell and nearby Cala Font /Cala Cobb you can find some lovely typical Spanish eateries. The villa is situated in a quiet residential area, surrounded by other Spanish and some English residents . You live here as the Spanish do, within their community as opposed to being within a holiday complex with other holiday makers. However, what makes this villa really special is the owner's attention to detail both inside and outside. Inside it is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday and even, if needed, DVD's and satellite television in English. The kitchen is well stocked and the welcome pack is considerable. The villa is very clean and is well maintained. Outside, within its own walled garden, with its own private driveway, is the lovely pool, designed with roman steps which makes getting in or out much easier. This makes it ideal for both young and old, and when very hot allows you sit in the pool with a glass on the side – so relaxing!!! The well stocked garden is visited by a local gardener and the pool is regularly maintained. The veranda is a lovely place to be during the evening to just sit and relax with a glass or two. Admittedly you don't have a view of the sea, but be assured you have the peace and quiet which more than makes up for the lack of view. We feel that a car is essential whilst staying at this villa though it is only a short walk to the bus route into Mahon. This villa is a must!!!” |
